Differences between turbos... help me out
What is the difference between a a T04E and a T04S? Also what is the difference between GT35R(T3) and GT35R(T4)? Just looking for some knowledge here! Thanks

dude... you should really research before you ask these kind of questions.... but here it goes
im not really going to talk on the TO4 series, because im dont know to much... as far as i know is that the TO4Z is the ball bearing version of the TO4R and has a little fast spooling time
GT35R(T3) - with the T3 you get a little better responce but sacrifise just a little bit of top end power..... more exhaust flow (T4) = easier to breathe on the turbo at the top end
GT35R(T4) - read the quick explanation for the T3 ^^
im know theres quite a few people who are quick more knowledgeable about this than i am.... i just wanted to give you a quick responce...... if you want a more detailed reponce PM Sean... his forum name is ZeroR..... he runs A-Spec Tuning which offer great kits for both GT35R T3 and T4

and no i dont work for em or anything... not just a stupid plug..... theyr really offer good ****.

TO4e industry standard turbine compressor package uses a 60a/r compressor cover (or sometimes even 50) easy to rebuild for low to medium Hp levels rotary = 275~350ish depending upon tune and supporting mods
TO4S is same family with a larger compressor wheel (and useually the turbine also) uses a 70 a/r compressor cover for better flow slightly slower spool = 325~400ish depending upon tune and supporting mods
to4s is also called a 60-1 or a to4b 60 trim
either will be fun on a car, exhaust housing size depends upon your intended useage (also exhaust wheel)

Most common To4e housing uses .5ar. The .7ar with 4" inlet comonly known as to4s housing is also a To4e housing but usualy refered to as to4s.
The to4e and to4s use the same backing plate and can run the same wheels
To4s housings can fit larger compressor wheels though than the .5 to4e housing since it uses larger casting inlet diameter.
Both the t04e and to4s housing are found with to4e trim wheels, super trim to4b's like 60-1 wheels and also the larger t-series wheels like t-58 and so on. but the t04s housing is the only one that can run wheels larger than the t-58 like t-61, t-66 t-70 etc.
The .6ar housing as refered to above is a to4b housing and is not a t04e. the to4b uses different backing plate and can only fit t04b wheels, with the exception of garretts new gt range like the GT28rs, this turbo has adopted the older to4b housing on one of its configurations.
So to cap of the t04e and t04s can be found with same turbo trims just different housing a/r. but the only compressor configuration I know of that is used in both the to4b, to4e and to4s housing is the super trim to4b wheels like the 60-1. So its wrong to assume all 60-1 turbos as being in to4s form only.
I dont think that the t04b housed 60-1 wheels is a garrett off the shelf item but many garrett refurbisher rebuild to4b's to a 60-1 spec.
As for the gt35 t3 vrs gt35 t4 i suspect this is just different turbine housing flange options to suit different manifolds.
