Deciding To Go Single
Hi, it may look like I am a noob considering I have no posts on the forums but I usually just read and gather info.
My boss keeps telling me to go single for obvious reasons but I'm just a penny pincher and don't really know the all around cost it would take.
I have a 93 RX-7 Touring with:
-3-inch exhaust and hollowed out cat
-V-mount intercooler and radiator
-Intake
-HKS Twin Ignition Amp
-Greddy Elbow
-Power FC
Car makes 360hp to the wheels on the stock twins but I need more of course and I'm not willing to push the twins to breaking point just for power gains.
My goal would be to have a car that can put down 500+ but I want it done right and not slapped together. Plus I don't want a full out race car. More of the Sunday street demon.
So my questions are:
1. What turbos would you recommend? I want something that spools fast but can get me to my power gains.
2. What other supporting mods would I need? I know I will need larger injectors and fuel pump, clutch and flywheel. But do I need a water/meth kit?
3. Could I still run the V-mount set up or is a front mount required?
Thanks for helping, I would really appreciate your input.

1. I'd go with a gt3574 or PT6266
2. Is that your complete list of mods?? Water injection (up to a 50/50 mix of water/meth) is always a good thing to add. Just remember that you don't need to go SUPER complicated for it to be effective
3. Your VMIC is superior by design to a front mount. There is no need to replace that.

You will just need a new set of colder heat range plugs, clutch, and as you mentioned fuel pump, and injectors. You don't need a lightened flywheel.
I would recommend ID2000 secondaries, top feed fuel rail, A1000-6 FPR.
Our TD61 turbo is hard to beat on the street. Never really seen anyone here post a torque curve like this. Even with a fresh set of 285s this car wouldn't hook til 80+ mph.

I was really interested in your TD61. I've heard really good things from the shop I go to about your turbo setups. Im just unsure of what the cost would be of a setup with this turbo.
