Daily driver, Turbo's and prices
I'd like to put a turbo in my 85 GSL, but is this a good idea for a daily driver and where could I find a good turbo. Also, could you give prices on how much they are. Thanks.

Well.....You want to turbocharge your 12a or swap a 13b TII engine? EFI or Carb? What kind of power are you looking for? How much you want to spend?
There are MANY variables in the question you just asked. I guess the most important question is do you have the tools, place, and knowledge for such a task(and even that is a variable, depending on the scale of your project). Turbo rotarys are quite finiky and easily to detonate if you don't know what your doing.
The best advice is to DO RESEARCH! RESEARCH and when you think you know it all ask some more questions
For reliability NA engines are the best...However, I have seen many TII's with 120k and still running good. The likelyhood of turbocharging a high mileage engine and it lasting is rare, the seals just won't take it....especially with higher compression NA rotors. So if its your daily driver your probably looking at a Jspec or rebuild as a part of the process...
The turbo itself will be a fairly small part of the total project cost.....MANY things will need modified!! Fuel delivery, exhaust, drivetrain, suspension, etc.
Not trying to be frustrating for the results are well worth the money, time, effort, and sacrifice So hang out, read and learn for we are always happy to help.
