Careful who you call a moron. You’re the one that is using vague terms like "probably". My point is that having high HP doesn't necessarily translate into a good ET. So if having high HP doesn't make you go quicker at the track, then the whole concept is mute. It just becomes a number. I never knocked the number, just its practical application in the rear racing world.

Not giving grief for having too much HP. My point is that making good numbers on the dyno and putting that power to good use are two different things. I think you know that more than most people on this board.

Only other thing I can think of would be the drivers ability to control that power.... well.. that and weight =P

I am just curious... I always thought

High HP + Low Weight (assuming power can be put to the ground) + Good Driver = good ET

Not tryint to be a dick.. just curious to hear your opinion.

Sure, 700hp with a dumbass driving is going to equate to some crapass times. But then again... if that car doesn't pull at least 135mph in the trap, i dunno what the hell the problem is. Oh.. were we talking 1/4 mile or the 'other' track.

eh.. nice power regardless.

Just out of curiosity, how much power have you made on your RX7 on the dyno and what have you run et/mph wise?

NM, I just saw your page of your Goat with the 502 bb and richmond 6 speed where you pulled a 13 flat and a 2.2 60 ft time.

First off thanks everyone for the positive comments.
The two above dyno sheets are not actually the best or smothest ones but only represent the highest peak #'s for bragging rights
Actually the car made 654 rwhp at 30 psi and 589 at 27 psi. The two dyno graphs above were at 32 and 34psi but it took some rigging of the boost controller and wastegate to get the boost up at that level. The boost was never steady above 30 psi and on the 34 psi run the boost dropped back to 32 psi as can be seen on the dyno graph.
From the looks of it, if it did hold the boost to redline it should have been around 700rwhp or better but that's just guessing.
The only major difference from the older setup that would have a major effect on the power would be the intake manifold.
At the same boost level as before power increased by 54rwhp.
I'm going to elaborate further with pics on the intake. The intake is comprised of an Excessive Motorsports lower and custom upper.
The motor is also running on NRS ceramic seals now and it's still getting stronger day by day as with ceramic seals they take some time to fully break in.

My GTO has run a best of 12.15 with a race weight of 4200 pounds.

Lupe should know but I know for proven fact what it takes to run good et's or make a very fast car on street rubber. Have done it many times before and that's not my keyboard talking out loud.

your rx7 mph and et is really good considering there are people with almost 100 more whp making around 125 trap speeds, i take it you are getting good traction with that et as well. Good driving there.

Beautiful work. Another monster 7 down in Florida! Great job Crispeed. It's no wonder more and more people are getting you to tune their cars. Too bad you live on the other coast. I'll be looking forward to seeing the video of this car as well as the pictures of what's "hiding" under the hood.

That run was with a 1.60 60 foot time on drag radials.

Did anyone actually read my post? I never knocked anyone or downplayed the numbers. My only point is that dyno numbers by themselves are useless without track times. I also never doubted your ability to get a car down the track. I just want to see it DONE. All too often people have great cars that are dyno just queens. That is a waste. So go to the track, and impress everyone with a great pass!

Like I said, running a low 11 with 360 whp on drag radials is decent there.

I'll post them as soon as I get them. They were only like 12 hp less I believe.
Conditions on the last couple of runs were at 94deg F. with 21% humidity.
Air intake temp on the last run was around 112 to 114deg F. at the beginning of the run and 120 to 124deg F. at the end of the run.

My apologies, I feel silly for name calling. When i said 'probably' I was being sarcastic. I just don't see how you can look at that dyno chart with that power band and call it a dyno queen
