From what I have read using the spacer and normal top-feed configuration provides the least issues. It's also what I am using with my CJ motorsports rail.

Did you just take the o ring off the bottom and install the denso seal? And did you use those for both primary and secondaries?

I have the ID 1000 primary and it seem to fit better on my KG primary fuel rail with out the purple top hats.
When the top hat is on- the Injector connectors hits the bolting bracket. Is this normal?
Should I leave the purple top hat on or can I take it off.
The only way I can keep the top hats is if I turn the connectors to the left and right of the fuel rail.

secondaries fit perfect with the lim spacers, primaries good fit with the denso seals.

ID injectors are great for the price.
For me it was either them or RC. From what I read, ID used the newer bosch design then RC injectors which is 20 years old?

It fits perfectly on my S5 stock secondary rail with no trouble
bought ID 1000-FCRX7 and the denso cushion from what arghx said in first post with new 11mm orings all from T1racedevelopment a few months ago.

My denso 720 needs some cleaning but I will probably go for a set of 725 from ID

I had IDs the purple anodized hats and it wouldnt fit my secondaries on my FC, I sold them to a FD guy because they were FD fitment.

I ended up ordering some from Marren, he knew exactly what I wanted and we had a long conversation about this subject.

I guess if some people feel that paying about $80 more per injector is worth the matching then more power to them, cant fault people for wanting to have what they perceive to be the "best", but people have been building cars and running lots of power way before IDs came to market and will continue to do so way after they are gone. They ARE bosch injectors that they match, there is no magic potion to them, no secret modifications.

what modifications are done to the injectors?
What do they do change ? Nothing- they just test and match them.

so basically 1:10 is not as close as the others.


You get matched set, be it slightly lower or slightly higher, but again your paying for the testing and matching. So like I said- if $80 per injector is worth it for some people good let them spend it and enjoy it, for some that is not such a issue, we are all not running 40lbs of boost on the ragged edge of tuning.

Bringing back the topic from the dead, when u guys intalled the secondary injector on Fd aftermarket rail do u reuse the brown diffuser that sits at the bottom of the lim? Btw has find which companys makes the best metal seal like CJM type?

I want to thank Arghx for putting this fitment guide together! It made the proccess of purchasing my injectors very easy. Your contributions are always appreciated!!

I know there is much debate between the ID proccess versus cost.

Personally, if I was a company promoting very increased results through my methods, not only would I show my methods, but I would show a comparison of the results. In turn, I would have a car tuned, dyno'd, and driven on Bosch EV14's and then on the Injector Dynamics. Let these comparative results speak for themselves.

Surprised I have yet to see this. Especially since ID is charging nearly twice as much as regular Bosch EV14 vendors.

This thread reminds me of purchasing matched vacuum tubes (8 x EL34/6550s per monoblock amp), and matched speakers during my audio addiction days.

My uncle use to match actual speaker driver frequency response , plus cross-over components (resistors, capacitors and inductors) for high-end speakers he manufactured.

Most components had a factory tolerance of +/- 3%. That's a full 6% spread when placed into production. And that's using QUALITY components from the beginning.

His tolerance was +/- 0.5%, for a spread of only 1%.

The time involved, plus the instrumentation required was staggering.

Grouping sets together took time. Documentation takes time.

Did it make a difference ? Very much so. No need to use the balance ****, and the imaging and frequency reponse was ALWAYS spot on, as these speakers were just about mirror images of each other.

This is what you want in your injectors for a balanced and equally responsive combustion engine.

Also, did you know that while Mercedes Original Equipment (OE, aka Factory) injectors are physically the same as OEM BOSCH injectors, Mercedes has a TIGHTER specification for OE/Factory injectors.

Not a different design, but they will only accept injectors from BOSCH within a TIGHTER range. This requires extra time, hence they cost more. It also means they can rely on a tighter range from their supplier to mass produce a very smooth engine with very little time re-tuning/flashing if any.

I'm hoping to find enough cash under the tree this year for a set of ID1000's, and FFE secondary rails.

Can't speak for ID matched Bosch EV-14 injectors, but I can speak on what I did purchase.

I am running 725cc EV-14's from Welcome to FuelInjectorConnection.com. For primaries, they work very well. MUCH smoother than my older EV1 bodied Boschs. No lag times required to lean out the idle, or smooth low end fueling.

I considered 1000's, but with 2000's in the secondary, I had enough fuel for my goals.
