MD caterpiller t04b?

hey guys gotta question for yall, a buddy of mine gave me a call today and told me he was at a junkyard in delaware looking for parts for our shop trucks and he scored two turbos, one is a t04b91 from an old caterpiller, and the other is garret t04e10 that was laying next to it. does anyone know anything about these? or better yet ran these? i dunno much about single turboed 7s but i know ive t04b's and t04e's alot so id be cool if i could use theis on my S4 TII. thanks alot in advance

to4B91 is a 300-350rwhp turbo. Hard to say what the To4E as their are many..

best solution is to pull the housings off and measure the wheels, then compare them to known T04B and T04E turbos from the various catalogs floating around

so heres something i pulled up online after reading this im under the assumption it would be better to get the t04e, it says they aremore efficiant, any input?
'As far as I know the only difference is the compressor wheel and housing. Generally speaking the "E" wheels are better for high boost, and are all around more efficient. The "B" wheels are more for low pressur flow, and are less efficient. That is very general though. You would have to compare flow maps of each wheel to find the exact differences.'

if you measure the wheels you can get an idea of what the efficiency of the wheel is, by finding a compressor map for it
