Braided oil feed line touching turbo hotside.. bad??

Braided oil feed line touching turbo hotside.. bad??
ok, so i drove an hour into traffic today to get the oil feed line hose made and i measured 1 feet of hose to be enough... well, i didnt take into consideration that near the end of the hose, its not as flexable... so, i need to loop it around the other side and the stainless line hits the hotside for about an inch then the manifold and downpipe (but the downpipe is wrapped).... my question is, is that bad??? i know the oil will be hot but will it rip the line?? or cause it to wear very soon??? will it be ok or not???

uh... i was afraid of that!! so looks like i have an 1 foot oil feed line brand new for sale.... $15... haha....

Put some kind of heat barrier between the hose and the housing. I've got some fiberglass stuff that would work. They used to sell fiberglass mat at the auto parts store for body repair -- that would probably work. Or perhaps one of those muffler bandage thingies would do the trick, too. If you have another piece of larger-diameter braided hose, you could use that, too (slit the side of the spare piece and put it between the good hose and the housing). I would replace it eventually for sure, but I am concerned that it might burn through rather quickly if it's touching the turbine housing. It would suck to kill the turbo for something so silly.

do yourself a big favor and do not compound your error.
if the stainless line is in actual contact w the turbine housing the nylon tubing inside the line will rupture. 60 pounds of oil pressure onto an 800 degree turbine housing will not be pretty. neither is losing oil pressure re your motor.. if you have a vise and a hacksaw it is easy to make your own line.
do fix it immediately please.

ok, from what i gather, its not... some kind of wrapping should work but its not permanent... ive ran my line in such a way now that it really doesnt touch but gets a little close...
