blitz sbc id help

i'm trying to help a friend out w/ his blitz sbc id... we set the boost to 10 psi but the boost is reaching 21 psi. the sbc id is controlling a hks t04 hi fi turbo w/ hks wastegate and it looks like it's hooked up correctly. at idle it seems to show the correct vacuum reading so it looks like everything is working, it's just not controlling the boost. there were some other settings that we didn't know how to set like the "gain". is the wastegate stuck?

What is the spring in the wastegate?
I heard of someone having a 1.4 bar spring in thier HKS wastegates (included with thier t04r kit)...YIKES!
I ordered me a tame 0.7 bar spring and will let the boost controller do the rest.
might wanna check that out...

yes i do have the 1.4 bar spring, but shouldn't the wastegates open before it reach that point, since i'm using the boost controller? i set my sbcid at 12psi, either the setting on the sbcid is wrong or it wasn't connected propertly?

You won't get less than the spring set even with a boost controller.

You can never lower boost with a boost controller from what the spring rate is, just raise boost. Get a spring that's a little lower than the lowest boost you want to run, then tune it upwards with the boost controller.
