500 rwhp is at my top limit.
I want the car to be more of a daily driver but turn key and go for 2000 miles on vacation and so on. I dont want to me breaking stuff every other week. but I would like to buy for the future also so I was told GT40 will be a bit laggy but have room for growth the 35 ill be a quick 0-100 but die at the end...its a toss up... I want a nice fast street car on street tires and pump gas.

I made 402rwhp at 14psi of boost on my gt35r. That is plently of power. If you turn up the boost you will be nearing 500rwhp. That will be more than enough for a street car. Just my $0.02.

good info guy keep it coming
i am going to open the ports just a bit. I am going to polish them and was planning on keeping the center ports basic stock just polish for good idling. the end port open up and 1600 with 550s. PFC FMIC HSK Ign system supra TT fuel pump.
Looking at rx7store the gt40 kit is much cheaper over the 35..I am iffy on getting a used turbo everythgin else is a go but a use turbo ..i am not sure..

cheaper? that's weird ... anyway, it may be cheaper up front now, but based on what you stated in your original post, i don't think it will be in the long run. search the board and see all the guys running GT40Rs. look at what ports are working that thing! it doesn't sound like you're interested in getting serious port work, so i'd say get a GT35R variant, good management and tune. i think you'd be much happier with that in the end.
just for the record, you can get a decent streetport without upsetting idle quality.

I have a massive street port, or extended port, what ever you call it.
I run GT35 with 1600cc 2ndrs 550cc prm, PFC, Koyo rad, Greddy FMIC, twin intank walbro 500 pumps, 1 for each set of injectors, custom manifold and exhaust work.
16psi 98pump gas 8000rpm 470RWHP or 350RWKW what ever you understand better.
Hot side is a 1.06 AR, full boost from low RPM around 3800, from then on it never stops pulling all the way to 8500rpm in every gear.
No traction in 1st or 2nd, 3rd is bearly holding on and 4th is all good cos you going.
Will be dragracing my car tonight with street tires, lower pressure and adjust suspension. I did a pull with g-timer up a hill yesterday for a test, spun all of first and 2nd hooked up in 3rd and 4th clocked a 13.35 with a full tank of gass and the missus weighing in at 2866lb spare tire and all clocking 115mph trap speed confirmed with PFC.
Thats a stock bat on a fucken good day with no passenger and half the fuel runiing 15psi and I wasted 1st and 2nd gear doing that run on 12psi with my 35R.
So yea, get a 35R you will be very happy cos its like twins only **** loads more fun.
GT40 will make you spin all the time bro, thats fun too but hey when you actualy want to move its not.

I have all the mods you have I have a RB 3" mid and cat back ready to go with PFC rad and lots of other upgrades also. If I get 400 RWHP I am happy as all hell with pump gas....I am going to Keep in touch guys .. I might need PFC tips soon.
On a side note I can not get the PTS seals so I am going with RA cryo seals in my rebuild....any thoughts....

I have special seals made by my Rotary mechanic. He uses them in his drag car.
They dont break. He dettonated his drag car down the strip doing 8.65sec, all it did was bend the seal and drop the compression.
Another car he buit and tuned was filled with crapy gas, un lucky. It dettonated hard and all it did was dent the rotor. Nothing happen to the seals.
I wont be able to give you tips on PFC tuning, Steve Rossan, FC-Datalogit creator tuned my car.

For your application, I recommend a 35R on all the way. I'd also recommend you consider a decent streetport, there's no benefit gained to a 'mild' port in my opinion unless emissions is a concern.

How much you push the engine determines how long it will last. Cruising on the highway, the engine will be NA for 99% of the time (unless your always passing). There's no reason a modified 13b can't last many thousands of miles while being able to be driven across country. The key is making sure all your supporting mods are up to the task. Most importantly, make sure you get it properly tuned by someone who knows what the hell they are doing.
