well if you read some of the threads that are on this section you can see some members get close to 500, and break that 500rhwp barrier with other turbos, and not spending as much s those mentioned. Right off the top of my head..... PT67 turbo, good spool, very "streetable" (if there's such a word ) A few people on here have hit 500+ with that turbo. Good luck.

Ray at PFS is currently making a custom turbo kit for me and is using the PT67. We shall see in a few weeks here how she goes. I won't be shooting for 500whp though. I'll be at 15-16psi on pump with stock ports.

I don't know WTF Ray is doing. I took it to him and we spoke, then I said...OK dude, it's all you, do your thing It'll have 1600 secondaries, Supra pump, FPR, Greddy 3-row. I do believe he said he was going to make the manifold but maybe he can find another that will work.

He is suppose to have it done by Aug 12.

I made 439.3 to the wheels on pump gas with the Gr67 kit from Gotham Racing. I'm sure 500 is possible. If this is a street car you are working with, then I would get the wastegate routed back into the downpipe.

I would say it depends on what you want more response or peak power. If you want response you'll run the smaller turbo and boost will need to be high. Not bad if it's drive daily and then turn up the boost on the weekend car. If you want power you'll go with the bigger turbo. You'll get the 500hp at lower boost levels but not have quite the response. On our 450R kit we just ran we did right under 450whp@15.2lbs So it will easily make your 500hp mark. You will need the motor to do it though, as well as the fuel. I think that setup still has more juice left in it since we were having connectivity issues so the tune wasn't fully dialed in. This was on a 103* day. 93pump gas. Just figure what your wanting/leaning more to power delivery wise then the decision becomes easier. Trust me 450whp at reasonable boost is more than enough to play around with. Kabooski and Carl both will tell that.
