assistance: AVC-R boost controller on single turbo

I have an AVC-R boost controller but have found that the instructions are in Japanese.
If anyone is familiar with the ins and outs of this controller and can give me a little advice, I'd really appreciate it. If you'd like to email me, it's Jrbjag@yahoo.com

I'm mainly just trying to get a good grasp on the duty cycle for the solenoid and how to program the boost learn feature. Any insights/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance!
Best wishes,
John

Set the duty cycle as low as it can go. I would also not use the learn feature.

Start from here. You should be running wastegate spring boost when the duty cycle is as low as it will go. The actual "boost setting" is useless unless you have learning mode "ON". I suggest to take off learning mode, and then just set the "boost level" to your desired setting. Again, it doesn't really do anything at this point.

Once your duty cycle is set to the lowest it will go, make a 3rd gear pass on the highway. Depending on your single turbo and spooling rate, go 100% throttle with your eye on the boost gauge / street. Please do this in an area where no one else is at too. You might take a friend to help in this.

Once your make your first pass, again, it should be wastegate spring. Slowly increase your duty cycle by 2% until you notice an increase of boost. Then do it very slow until you grasp where the breaking point is to make it go higher.

Once you figure out the breaking point from the duty cycle, you can then go and do what you like (rpm, gear, etc).

Its a good place to start. I recomend not to use the learn mode for it can be sparatic, and it takes a "few" times to get it right.

Remember, keep an eye on the boost gauge!
