Nice, why did you paint the engine bay black? (your car is orange, red & black?)
That's alot of clearance on intake manifold side. Does it rub on the fender side?
Is that a Greddy FMIC? It doesn't look like it leaves room for the bumper.

The whole car used to be red, we didn't pull the motor to paint the engine bay while we painted the whole car so this was the closest to having everything out of the way as its been. It was easier to paint it black then to use sealer and paint it orange. It doesn't rub on either side and yes its a Greddy 3 row. Havn't fit the bumper back over it yet so we'll see about the fitment

Looking good. Just make sure those braided fuel lines don't rub against anything vital, especially the starter and any of its electrical connections. Sparks and fuel line don't mix very well.

Awesome, how long do you anticipate that the stock engine will last with 400rwhp? or is the boost down at the moment? I was always under the impression that a rotary should be dowwed and pinned at anythign above 300rw.

Great job on the build!! I have beat the hell out of my 373 rwhp non-seq. twins (15-16 psi). Have 14000 on this block. I think anything over 425-450 rwhp it would be a good idea to pin it. Stock motor to p-port is fine. Just get enough fuel in and good tune. G

The motor definitely doesnt have to be doweled/pinned at 300 rwhp, maybe at 600 rwhp.

Candy3s, congrats on the numbers man! I remember when Ihor made 470 at 20 psi on a t3 35R way back in the day, so I'm not surprised at all. I'm stoked to get my setup tuned, soon soon soon........

I had my doubts about the short-runner kit, but I'm more then happy with it now. Hope your project goes well.

I remember when Nocab72's car made 450's at 17psi (T3 35R) before that...and Kyle used to call him Eyewhore, I think. That was what, 5 years?

Why? I never have. People walked around saying it doesn't work well yet clearly it can. I've had them here put out very similar numbers, I have been telling people for I don't know how long you need to turn up the boost. We've seen about a 10hp difference from long runner to short runner. Not too big a difference when you think you can lose/gain that much just depending on different overall setups.

At 15psi 417whp on stock ports is about where you'll land it's on the higher side but not out of line, you may be 390 you maybe 420 there is a lot that goes into it. I've seen well engineered solid cars put down crappy numbers. I've seen just the opposite.

keep in mind that the correction factor was extremely high due to the high altitude. I think it was 1.23. The numbers seemed slightly inflated and I told Candice that it might be off a little. Uncorrected hp at 23psi was 414rwhp? I maxed out the flow on the turbo, it wasn't holding anymore boost and was slowly dropping to 21ish psi towards the higher rpm.

That would totally make sense the compressor is pretty much done at that point. We had the one car here overboost up to 25lbs and If memory serves we hit 530. Not a great way to get those numbers I'll admit but we weren't trying to either.
