anyone use low compression rotors ??

I run 8.5:1 rotors. The lower compression ratio allows you to run more boost. But if you have access to good fuel / race fuel you can probably run more boost than the rest of the engine can take even without the low compression rotors. I'm not sure if there would be any benefits for most people... I'm a special case. Being in Korea, I'm stuck between using 87 or 89 AKI octane fuel. With the low compression rotors, I can run 15 psi without problems.

we use them in all our racing motors. they are lower compression and they are stronger.
Sokudo,
Would you expand on this? Are you using them in B-REW's, are they modded 3rd gen or OEM 2nd gens?
How are they stronger?
Thanks, David

It's easier and WAY CHEAPER to just drop in zenki rotors because you have to pay for the machine work and have them balanced.. You can just drop the zenki ones in.. The low compression rotors will spool the turbo a little slower, but not really enough to make a diffrence, they are heavier so they give you a little more tork on the bottom end, but the extra weight reduces your top end rpm range due to more e-shaft flex.. I had them in one of my first engines I built and I never had any problems with going to 9,500 rpm almost every day though. You can also run a couple psi more boost so you'll be able to get more power top end with out predetonation...
