Hey guys, I know I've heard people mention 550 / 1600 combo might be hard to tune but does anyone run this and still have smooth tuning????
Thanks,

I am running this setup too. I had a pretty annoying hesitation on switchover and downright shitty stumbling/hesitation at high rpm (5000+) and part throttle (say -10 to 0 inches vac), but Dave/KDR tuned it out on the dyno. I'm very happy, the car drives great now.

Well we dropped the fuel pressure by a couple PSI, I run about 36 PSI at 0 manifold now.
Did some adjustment of the transition settings as follows:
0.06 on primaries
0.12 secondaries
transition time 0.996
pri/sec trans 40%
Corrected the fuel base maps that were programmed by XSEng using his dyno + wideband.
Moved some vac lines around. I had the FPR and the sensor on the same line, Dave said this can mess up the sensor. Give the sensor its own line to the throttle body like stock, don't tap into it to steal pressure for something else.
If you are nearby, I highly recommend Dave. He's worth double what he charges!

I'm also running a 550/1600 combo with the Haltech e6K. Old engine was perfectly smooth but now I had to tune out a light stumble at the crossover with my new engine. Just required a little dyno time and now it runs beautifully.
