.81 or .96 Turbine Housings

Is the benefit of using a .96 housing compared to a .81
more Top end? at the cost losing a bit of bottom end?

doesnot really give you more power does it?
just changes the powerband ?

But can the .96 give you higher traps
then a .81
Thats the real question

From what I understand, the larger the A/R ratio on the turbine housing, the longer it takes to spool up, or basically shifting the power band and the compressor housing is what dictates power.

yes to the top end. more power due to more flo which = more power, you will suffer a lil bottem end rpm will be about 250 rpm to about 500 rpm difference
really depends on the setup. for what it's worth. I run a .81 hotside on a "gts" wheel, and @ 28 lbs it yeilds at 543 whp. for me this is enough, some say w/ a
.96 the setup "should" lay down 580/600 whp I'm still trying to harness the power iv'e got now.

Good to know
I'm going to buy a .96 Tang
and compare it to the .81 I got now

My car pulls real good
but I feel it somewhat chokes up top a bit down the track 3rd n 4rth

we'll see
I'll compare both soon
at the track and the dyno

Then try a 4" DP
and compare that to the 3" DP

tearbo2, what are you using to get to 28psi? I'm guessing water or alcohol injection? It's just odd for me to see 28psi on a rotary.
