I will scan my dyno tomorrow and post , but after some small new mods and a fresh core my Rx7 hit 515 rwhp 410lb torque at 21 psi. From what I hear the car was jumping off the rollers so the HP number is a little low. Street port Core, 3mm seals and has it been studed. The turbo has upgraded internals but I think the big TB and 2000cc injectors did the trick. I only had a short ride in the car but the torque was HUGE compared to my last core.

are you guy saying the t78 will run out of air pass 20psi? on stock port motor? I have t78 and will be tuning soon, hoping this turbo will make power up to 30psi
i'm thinking of sending out to get the compressor wheel upgraded maybe 70 or 72 mm wheel

When the T78 was common place, it was rare to see anyone run over 17psi of boost on it or any other turbo for that matter. 450rwhp was thought to be the limit back in those days with the exception of a few drag cars. Now it is common place for guys to run 20-24psi on pump gas with water injector and 30 psi is common on c16. I say turn it up and see what happens. Should have similar results to what you see out of 67mm turbos these days. Im sure that turbo is capable of 550rwhp or more, there where guys back in the day running low 10s in the 1/4 with that turbo so power has to be approaching mid 500s or so.

I was making 454 at 18 psi on mine, and that was with a damaged turbine. So 500 is easily achievable.
Back in the day when it was a common turbo, auxiliary injection was not common, and not many people ever pushed past 17 or 18 psi.
I believe the OP Has more of a T88 (upgraded compressor)

Now we should remember the T78 was built especially for Supras and Skylines and to push beyond 20 psi. It likes the 25-35 range very vell. That's what it's built for. I did see a compressor map and it was not very efficient under 20 psi of boost.
A freind is gonna dyno his this summer, and he's aiming for 25+ psi on it
Gonna be interesting to see how it's gonna go ![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Old school but it gets the job done. Low cost and with the 4inch down pipe I could boost to 23-25 psi easy and put down another 40 HP. But at this time no need I want to enjoy the extra HP for a season and learn how to drive the car again. The Kazz is a huge improvment and with some decent tires the car should be fun to drive. Its so easy to pull the trigger on this set up even as "laggy" as people say the turbo is. I will post a in car clip this weekend.
