480 RWHP for 6k
Is it possible to get that much horsepower with 6k? I just paid off my FD and now I'm taknig out another loan for 6k. I already have 3-inch turbo back Apexi exhaust, and a turbo timer. I got a good idea of what I'm going to go with, Gt30/40 BB single turbo. just wonder if I can do it with 6k, thanks

much of process in making that power is not what you buy... you should be worry about getting the right engine management system, tuning, and may be dynotime...etc....
but 6k is possible... if you do all your own labor

Yep, 10.3 @ 133. Might be able to get it a bit lower. Check my site www.ajc13b.com for details on my setup. Power at the moment is over 500rwhp.

Hey AJC13B, what elbow is that??? Its kinda hard to tell from the pic but would it work with a 3rd gen throttle body??? I was thinking of making something similar but if I can buy one I would rather do that as I dont really have time for any more projects.
Also when you say 6K for your "setup" what exactly does that include??? We talking motor and all or just turbo, computer stuff? What all you including in "setup"
Thanks man,
STEPHEN

Hey Stephen!
The elbow is just the standard cosmo one cut and shut to suit the intercooler pipe!
$6000USD would be for everything in my engine bay including intercooler, W/G and exhaust manifold, ECU etc...

Thanks for the info man, do you know where I could get some good pics of the elbow to see if it would work with a 3rd gen throttle body.....or do you know if it would work?
If it will work or be made to work fairly easy do you have any idea where I could get one???
Thanks a ton man,
STEPHEN

Hey Domestic513, if you want to spend $6k I think this would be a steal since it includes his motor, ecu, and everything!!!!!! I might even know someone that would be interested. Hell its already professionally tuned and everything!!!!! If I'm not misstaken (which I might be) didnt Anthony Rodrigues tune it?

What would shipping run? I am interested. I just got screwed and am going to have to put a lot of money into my FD anyways, I might as well go ***** to the wall and not eat for the next year!! Seriously, how much do you think to ship? I will even trade you my crappy ~88,000 motor and turbos.

The engine was tuned by HITMan. I will even throw in a C16 map that made well over 500hp to the back wheels. The car/engine may run a 9 soon as well
Freight is not inlcuded and I have no idea what freight would be worth. I can make enquiries if you are serious.
If it was to go into an FD, I wouldn't put the exhaust manifold in as I doubt it would fit, but you would get the turbo and wastegate of course. You probably wouldn't need the intercooler either as it wouldn't fit I don't think.
The actually asking price for my engine setup is $12000AUD, which is actually $6500USD. If the engine was to be bought, I would get the engine pulled down and checked prior to shipping and anything that need replacing would be replaced, so it would be a fresh engine.
Included:
Engine block and inlet manifolds. Engine is dowelled, large street ported, FD rotors, 3mm HME racing seals, Cosmo 110amp alternator, twin plate clutch/flywheel.
Turbo - Garrett TA45 rebuilt in February. 72 front cover with 68mm blade, oil only centre, 1.05 exhaust housing and 68mm exhaust blade. Exhaust housing has been HPC coated. Wastegate is a 45mm Turbomaster/turbosmart item.
Haltech E6K - Tuned by HITman. Aftermarket boost solenoid and all lines plumbed up to wastegate. Injectors are 2 x 720cc Mazda primaries and Bosch 1650cc secondaries. C16 tune will also be supplied.
I might throw a thread into the for sale area just to see if anyone is interested.

Just for shucks and grins, check shipping if you would'nt mind. My car would fall apart if you put that much power into it, but that can be fixed. Right Jason? Does anyone know if this setup is even legal in the U.S.?

Stephen - I havea funny feeling it won't fit an FD engine. From memory they have larger throttles than the Cosmo engine. I'm sure you could pick one up from an importer pretty cheap!
wish - I just spoke to my engine builder and he says for an engine on its own its under $600AUD for shipping or a bit over $1000AUD for air freight.
