Reckless...There are only a couple of events left and I will try to make them all.

Jeff....Thanks! I really think the T78 is the way to go, you will like it a lot. See ya soon!

Astro...The EGT is mounted right after the turbo, on the downpipe, about 2 inches away. I have three holes on the downpipe, one for the greddy air fuel, one for the EGT and the last for the Wideband O2.

Re: Re: Re: Re: turbo

Anthony, the pass was made w/o n2o. I think it made 475rwhp and 400rwtq at 22-23psi of boost. Your EGT sounds a little high for the a/f ratio you're running. Sounds like your timing is too retarded (possibily?). You know I always try my best to help out my fellow rx7 friends. you can msg me anytime if you have any questions.....

Steve

429 rwhp @ 22 psi ??? Your car has some serious issues.

My buddy made 410 rwhp at 16 psi on a stock engine (no porting, etc.).

You should see 429 rwhp at around 17 psi (on an unported engine) or more if with a good port job.

At 22 psi, on a ported engine, you should be seeing around 510 rwhp.

My car has a big street port and I was making 376 rwhp @ 11 psi.

If you plan on running 22 psi, I recommend the Ultimate fuel pump at SR Motorsports . Hell, I recommend it for even less than this boost level just for the security.

.
The T78 isn't going to make over 500rwhp at 22psi. The turbine housing isn't large enough. Nobody has ever done it. And please dont say Ari, cause he is NOT using a T78. Not trying to get into a pissing match...so if ya could, post some dyno sheets....

ErnieT, you've been around long enough and should have already seen posted dynos.

Since you went with the KKK, you have felt that you have had to defend your setup and defile others (especially the T-78).

I'm not busting your ***** here, but 500 rwhp at 22 psi isn't that difficult with a T-78.

Im not saying the T78 isn't nice....I just want to see some dyno's. Everyone says they make all this power, but I never see proof. I'll be the first to tell ya, I havn't had the ***** to get back on the dyno with all my mishaps.

I was running out of fuel pressure and the car was running a 11.1-11.5 air fuel ratio. To tell you the truth, I have seen a lot of cars on the dyno and never saw 500HP on 22psi. I am looking to make 450 at 20-22psi.

I have about 5 friends running T78's and the average is about 450HP on 20-22psi.

Are you sure about 510HP @ 22psi. Are there single turbos out there making that kinda HP at such low boost?

I'll be back on the dyno soon with race plugs, a new fuel setup and a wide band, I will post my results soon.

Thanks for the response!

Anthony

Thanks Gordon, Since this was the first time on the dyno with this setup and falling fuel pressure, I didnt want to do any testing. The next time I am on the dyno I will definitely play around a little. I have seen on a T78 rotary on the dyno @25psi, the timing was changed from 15deg advance to 12degrees and there was no loss of power and no loss of torque. (maybe like 4HP diff)
That was kinda suprising that running at 16deg and 12deg netted the same results. Split was 10deg also.

Thanks again

Anthony
