3rd gen fuel calculator is crazy lol

I have a rew engine in my fc. I am near the limit of the injectors. According to the calculator I am at 660hp. That seems pretty crazy for numbers. I wish it was right lol. Here is my setup

99spec rew mild street port on intake only
megasquirt2 ecu
4x850cc @95% dutycycle + 1 900cc +1 600cc of meth running 91 pump
holset he351vgt 22psi

Had it on the dyno at beginning of summer but I forgot to turn over boost protection off. Only pulled to 5000rpm @ 15psi but made 250whp. There is no dyno in my area so I would not be able to get it back on for a long time. I am just trying to guess my whp. I plan to upgrade injector to 1680cc over the winter.

I am just curious of what this turbo can do. It is one of the best street turbo I have ever driven.

That calculator assume you have adequate fuel pressure. If you don't you overcompensate by using more injector duty cycle..

So it is possible that I would be making that much hp. I am running dual walbro pump. There should be plenty of pressure. I am just try to ball park my hp. I raced my buddy t51r supra and pull 1-2 cars in 3rd. He is running 1bar of boost.

if i read you right you have 4 850 injectors and one 900 and one 600 meth nozzle or solenoid...

the gas side is 3230 CC/Min nominal which is .853 GPM or 99,024 BTUs

meth is 1500 CC/Min or .396 GPM or 22671 BTUs

99,024 + 22,671 = 121,695 total nominal BTUs

that is 594 rwhp.

i have been saying "nominal." that's because if you have any pressure drop-off your 95% duty cycle is not apples to apples.

which is why i constantly suggest that fuel pressure should be logged. you then know what is going on. as Turblown states, if pressure doesn't rise w boost you could be running your injectors harder and not actually getting the flow.

AFR is also a consideration...

The ecu is capable of logging lots of inputs. I plan over the winter to do alot of wiring upgrades. I am also upgrading to ms3 which is one of the most powerful ecu out there. I just can't believe that I am at these level of power and not satisfied. lol.

I have not found any good compressor maps for this turbo. But the ones I did find look like it maxes out at 60pds/min. which in rotary world is around 500whp I think. Thanks for all the input.

I will check fuel pressure tomorrow since I can get 12psi in neutral. The pressure should climb a little. I know its not the same as a full loaded pull in 4th. It should at least give a indication of what the regulator is doing.

Have base pressure set to 45psi. Lucked out found a dyno I can run on tomorrow. My clutch is toast so I need to change that tonight for the dyno tomorrow.

I've never found an accurate fuel calculator.....they always read very high, 20% or more.

Let us know what the dyno tells you.

could use a lot of work up top on the tuning department. I only did 3 run on the dyno. Once I have more time and more gauge to setup for dataloging I will try to tune it. Feul pressure did stay pretty steady around 50psi.

Also that was at 18psi on a holset vgt turbo. Would not spool nearly as good on the dyno as the street for some reason. I can get 23psi by 3600 on the street with out even trying.
