355rwhp to4b 12psi
hi guys. just want to share this with you all. i recieved an email from a friend/customer that I sold a custom manifold and to4b turbo package to for his fc3s. and this is the results from a dyno run he has emailed to me just to keep me posted on progress. i am very impressed, i hope he dosnt have a problem with me sharing this with you all.

Yeh I'm pretty stoked with it. It was the 54mm TO4B running maximum of 14psi boost. The boost actually starts to drop slightly from about 5000rpm and it made the peak figure of 354.8 at the wheels at 6600rpm and 12psi boost. I suspect that the boost spike then drop off is due to my early model Greddy profec-b boost controller, might need to upgrade that at some stage.
I ended up cutting the original wastegate pipe off the manifold and having it remade in 60mm the same as the other pipes to suit my HKS 60mm wastegate.I also had all the flanges machined.
As far as other mods, it is mild ported,3mm apex seals, Hybrid front mount intercooler with 2.5" piping (seems to work bloody well for a $500 trade me special, highest intake temp during dyno run was 29 C!), microtec LTX8, 4 sard 700cc injectors, sard fuel reg, bosch intank 600hp pump twin plate clutch and light flywheel. Still running standard fuel lines etc.
I sent it for a dyno tune a few weeks ago when I got it going finally and it made 292hp on 12psi before cracking the rear plate! Makes very little sense to me or anyone that I have talked to for that power and boost. All I can put it down to is an existing undetected hairline crack. Of course this was a week before the south island champs so I did some late nights and replaced the broken plate to get it ready for the drags that ended up getting rained out! Had a minor overheating problem anyway so probably a good thing. Been waiting since then to get a custom radiator made which I finally got on Tuesday just in time to make my dyno appointment on Thursday. It was only really going back for some fine tuning and a maybe a couple of extra psi boost. I was thinking more like a 20hp or so gain so I was blown away by gaing 62! It also produced a pretty constant 280-300 ft-lbs of torque from about 4500rpm through to redline. I am told this is a bonus as they usually peak then drop off quite quickly in the higher rpm.
I may look at going to a larger turbo at some stage so I will keep an eye on your listings. I think I fancy a Turbonetics 62-1 as the next upgrade though. Not to mention that I'm pretty bloody happy with the one I have at the moment! I am taking it out to a drag meeting next weekend, I'll let you know how it goes.

I will ask him for some dyno print outs. he might even be a member of the rx7club, i check it out.

I'm supposed to have a street ported engine, and I also have full exhaust, front-mount, requisite fuel mods and a standalone EMS. My only concern is that I have a turbo with a .60 cold side, and I'm unsure of what the hotside is. It's a Garrett, that's all I know...
