I am looking for datalogs for each of those turbos. I would like to compare spool up for each turbo from about 2k rpms and up under WOT. If anyone has any please send them to egg_one@yahoo.com

please include what gear the runs were made in , what your mods are and the specs for the turbo

Books, I was playing with one of my logs in Excel tonight and was having a hard time picking out any full throttle runs from low RPM. Also Excel kept crashing and ruining my day. Most of my pulls in the log I was playing with were from just under 3000 RPM, as best I could see.

I remember looking at what map cells I had data for as one way to see what boost I could hit at what RPM. That may be one way to judge the spool.

I have ~35MB of log files I could send you if you want to dig through them and find what you are looking for. I was running an RX6 turbo with the turbine major diameter cut down to about 60mm (from 62mm) to get rid of some turbine wheel damage. Let me know if you want my log files. I wanted to send you some shorter runs, but it is hard to pick through all the log data.

Please post your observations if you feel comfortable making any. I suspect it will be hard to do any sort of conclusive comparison due to the different setups and tuning. But it is always nice to have some more data, even if it isn't enough to draw any hard and fast conclusions.

Max,

Why don't you randomly select about 5 meg of files and email them to me. As you stated, it will probably be difficult to make any clear cut conclusions. But I believe the data would be indicative to a certain degree of each turbos' performance. I would rather make a decision based on some data rather than testimonials.
