to all who has SR KKK stage 2 turbo
Sup guys !!
NEED YOUR HELP !!
when you guys bought YOUR STAGE 2 turbo kit..what was your wastegate size 50mm or 40mm ??my car is currently at PFS getting my turbo put on but for some reason there seems to be an boost crip issue and seems to be a problem with the wastegate. I've always believed that my wastegate is an 50mm since that's what it says on their web but I was told that time when I purchased ( two years ago..but always been in the box and i just put the car in the shop back in Febuary ) my turbo, stage 2 came with the 40mm. I misplaced my invoice and don;t really have any ground to back it up other than people who bought the same turbo kit from them...Thanks guys

I can tell you one thing, 40mm wg is TOO SMALL! I blew front and rear plates because of BOOST CREEP from that turbo. I had to fork out $600 more dollars to get the 50mm wg. So, just sale your 40mm wg and eat the difference.

That kit comes with he HKS standard wg. This wg is smaller than the HKS race wg which will fit SR's cast manifold on the Stage II kit.
I also had boost creep with that kit and we never found out why. When I was having a very experienced tuner/fabricator fab up the wg outlet to dp piping he commented that the standard wg should flow plenty for my application. Anyway, decided to change to the HKS race wg (thanks to Ray for the free exchange) and still had creep.
Looking back I was suffering from ignition problems and a failing fuel pump so I never did nail what the root cause of the creep was. Didn't find the bad pump till it took the motor out at high rpm. When it all went back together and I sorted out the fuel pump and ignition issues there was no more boost creep!

When Ray first started selling the kits, he used the 40mm wastegate. He then changed after complaints to the 50mm. You many still be able to get the 50mm if the 40mm was never used. Explain the situation to him. But there is the possibility that you got the "stage1" and not the stage 2. It is a nice turbo. Reliability is questionable as I had to rebuild mine 8 months after I had it.

I'm just waiting to hear from PFS as of now. I asked them to measure the WG so I should know if it's the WG. Only wack thing is I don't have my invoice anymore and SR seems to be missing my infos in their database...
