Should have posted this a while ago, but been too busy with the new project. I brought home this 1974 Rx-4 thanksgiving weekend. Bought it from the original owner with 27,700 miles on it. Was stored in his garage on jack stands since the early 80's. Last licence sticker was 1982. Came with a whole trailer load of parts as well as manuals, brochures, original bill of sale, and ownership from 1975. I've been working at it and with a new fuel pump and a carb rebuild it came back to life! I'll be giving it a full tune up next as well as new fluids, go over the brakes, check it all mechanically, and give it a good cleaning.
Dammit. Well I guess I'm glad you got it. I called and had arranged to go see it the following Monday. He called back and said it was sold the next day. But solid find. Good luck.

There were a few people after it. I actually had to buy it over the phone because another guy was there looking at it when I called. Luckily I knew the car and the condition it was in.
Hopefully with some new spark plugs, points, and condensors it will be running tip top. It runs good sometimes and then other times it's like the ignition is weak or something. Compression is awesome on both rotors on all faces.

You're talking about the RX8?
Was that a typo you wrote before?? $250?? You sure its not $5200?
No no, the rx8 has a blown engine and has some pretty good body rot. It cost $250 for a reason lol. I was talking about the rx-4. It's the only thing old enough to still use points ignition lol.
I finally got the car running right last night. Chased my tail for a while trying to figure it out. Turns out one of the valves for the air injection is sticking open sometimes causing me grief. Easy fix though. I'll get some more pictures and a video of it running soon.
