Seats, Seat Covers, and Interior Updates?
Hey all,
I love my FB's exterior, but the interior leaves a bit to be desired. The seats don't look too hot and there's a few cigarette stains on the fabric-covered door panels from a previous owner. The door fabric can easily be fixed/replaced I reckon, but I was wondering about the seats and what seat covers are available? I figure it'd be a lot easier to slap a nice looking cover on than replace the seat entirely, but all of the seat covers I have found are for FCs or later. So I was wondering what 1st gen owners recommend in terms of updating the interiors of their FBs. I was thinking a black fabric or faux leather, but I'm open to suggestions and if anyone has nice makeovers to show I'd love some inspiration, too.

Racing Beat has good upholstery kits, not just covers.

For the vinyl hard stuff, a good quality vinyl/plastic paint works great. For a black interior you probably want satin black. That worked great for the rear cargo area in my SA.

i picked up seats from a wrecked 2014 mazda 3. working on making mounts not, doesn't look like it should be to hard. as for the interior paint, i'm using dupont. i'll post some pictures for you soon, works great

the shift boot stayed shiny. i did spray it kind of heavy though. the bin cover was just sprayed 30 seconds before that picture, and dried like the other one in the pic above
