Shops that provide CUSTOMER SERVICE??

**Before people flame me...I'm posting in the 3rd generation specific because I don't care about the 1st and 2nd gen**

I'm looking for shops that provide customer service. When I say customer service I mean:

- Answer phone/return calls
-Don't make promises unless you will keep them
-Listen
-Deal with complaints
-Be helpful- even if there's no immediate profit in it
-Take the extra step

Since becoming an FD owner, too often I've found I am the one providing the service to a shop. Maybe there are reasons behind this. A possibility could be that there isn't enough competition for these shop owners, so they don't fear our business will be taken elsewhere (there can't be high demand for 4k engine rebuilds or a new turbo kit, can there?). Or maybe I just haven't found the right shops yet. Ultimately all of us have created this problem…I personally have ignored the poor business practices of shops just for the cheap prices and/or convenient location. Hopefully, with your help, I will never have to again!

I’d like to hear from you guys on shops that have consistently provided you with customer service.

Thanks

Never had an issue at Pettit Racing minus the high pricing.

Customer service?

From personal experience, KDR in PA and RP/RX7.com in TX are superior when it comes to mechanical work on our FDs

I've also had good experiences dealing with Sean at A-Spec, Glen at AZRR and Bryan at BNR Turbos in so far as turbos, parts etc.

You can also can surf the shop GG/BG section as well to read testimonials.

I will only list the companies that I personally have done business with over the last 15 years of rotary ownership. Do any of these names sound familiar?
- Rotary Performance - Rx7.com
- Mazdatrix
- Racing Beat
- Pettit
- Rotorsports
- Pineapple Racing

They've all been around for 20 or so years. They aren't some internet "businesses" run from someone's kitchen. They are legitimate brick and mortar businesses that have been around for ages and will continue to be around for ages. There are some good vendors on here as well that I haven't worked with but are probably quite good.

Choose you vendor wisely and do your research. You gotta take the feedback that you here with a grain of salt since you never know if the person posting isn't some dumbass lying out there *** supporting their own agenda.

I'm also a big fan of supporting your local rotary shop. The only way they stay in business is with our support and we need knowledgeable local shops.

All of you will be surprised by a group of experimental aircraft owners who own Rotaryaviation.com. I have bought some seals and springs from them. They are more than knowledgeable on rebuilds. Check them out!

KDR hands down, Dave spent 4 hours on a Saturday with me when there was no immediate profit to be made. Hands down one of the most knowledgeable, helpful, and honest guys in the community.
