HOW TO SAVE MONEY ON INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING.

*For large packages

If you are an international customer (outside of USA) interested in purchasing our products you've come to the right place because I have very important information on how to save money on shipping our products.

I know many of you are excited about the weakening U.S dollar as you are now able to increase your purchasing power for American goods. However, fuel prices are generally on the rise and the demand for American goods is rapidly increasing the cost of shipping out of the United States.

SHIPPING OPTIONS WE OFFER TO OUR CUSTOMERS

Before I list the options, I would like to explain that we DO NOT look to make money off shipping. We are NOT in the business of shipping. We are in the business of manufacturing and selling aero parts and that's where our profits come from. We only estimate a bit higher than what our shipping company charges us to cover for the cost of packaging and time. Our philosophy is if we can work to get you the lowest rate possible, we can lower your overall (parts + shipping) purchase cost and hopefully earn more sales.

Air Freight

*Cost depends on "size" of package, not weight since our parts are very light. The bigger the box, the more expensive it will be.

Option 1: Door-to-Door Air Freight.
Most Expensive Option. Transit is usually 1-2 weeks.

Option 2: Door-Airport. You will have to pick up the package from the Airport. Sometimes cost is almost the same as Door-to-Door. Sometimes you can see savings between $100-300. It all depends on how far you are away from the Airport.

Sea Freight

*Because of our negotiations with a new carrier, we are now starting to offer sea freight services to our customers, which we believe is the most affordable IF you're willing to wait .

Minimum charge for sea freight is 1 CBM, meaning you will be charged for at least 1 CBM no matter what. 79x22x36 inches is roughly 1 CBM. The largest we can go safely is 79x22x64 inches, which can fit quite a bit of goods (see pics below).

Option 3: Door-to-Door Sea Freight. Much less expensive than Air Freight. Roughly half the cost given the same size. Transit time is roughly 30-45 days.

Option 4: Door-to-Port Sea Freight. Less expensive than Door-to-Door.

*Note that with all international shipping, you WILL NEED a broker to clear the package. The faster the better, so you can avoid any storage fees that might incur. If you do not have a broker, the shipping company can recommend you or provide you with one.

Duties and Taxes will obviously have to be paid. Every country has their own codes, so it is very difficult to determine what the amount will be until customs determines it. The value of the goods is one factor, which is why we can "lower" the invoice value on demand. It is "your" choice. However, the insurance will only cover for the value listed in the case of loss or damage. From our experience with international shipping, we have never had to file a loss claim or a damage claim so far. Keep that in mind and let's hope it continues to be this way.

Now that the options are listed, I can further explain the best ways for our international to save money.

Combined Shipping!!!!

Whether its Air Freight or Sea Freight, the cost savings of combining shipments for our customers is HUGE. We've done this numerous times for our customers abroad and believe we're one of the few companies in our industry that will do the extra leg work to save our customers the most money on shipping. It doesn't make sense to buy a bumper for $400 and pay $500 for shipping. If we can be efficient with the way we do things, we will be rewarded.

If there is demand for our goods coming from a certain region or a group of potential customers who might live close to each other, we get our customers to contact each other via email and phone to establish trust and agree on how to split the shipping cost and "where" the item will be shipped. There has to be trust among the participants as we do not take responsibility in the case of theft, which fortunately, we have never come across. If trust and agreement can be established, everyone will save money... simple as that.

Example: Why have 2 individuals pay $500 to ship a bodykit each, when we can put both bodykits in one box going to one location, charge $600 and split that cost in half? Or 3 bodykits for $700 split 3 ways? Hopefully, the savings will be clear . If done correctly and with patience, we have had international customers end up paying LESS for shipping than they would have shipping domestically within the U.S!

The ultimate savings will be in combined shipping via Sea Freight.

We keep a database of international inquiries in our email. If you're interested in combining shipping with others, just shoot us an email.

We will be sharing your information with others who we believe might be close to you and hopefully get things going. Combined shipping with Air freight is a good option as well, since the package will arrive faster and the participants will already be saving significantly compared to shipping alone.

We don't do this only our Rx7 customers, we do this for ALL our customers so it would not be unusual to see a variety of goods in a package. .

Sample of a 79x22x64 inch sized box. Our box with the flaps up is actually only 79x22x52 inches, however, since 79x22x64 roughly comes out to 1 CBM, that is what is preferred. My co-worker Dave is pointing at the height the box would be at 64 inches tall and as you can see, the box can fit quite a bit of items.

Im working with a new shipping company and they're getting back to me on quotes. The new company is different because we actually can negotiate rates to different regions and they give me a set formula to calculate shipping. I can give you that formula as well once I get it. It's done this way so I dont have to call in everytime. Hopefully, it works out.
