If you're going to remove your headliner clips from your oem sunroof and send them to me, that's not really what I'm looking for. I have two oem sunroofs right now. What I'm looking for and was concerned about was a "source" to acquire clips that will work.

JDMGTdriver told me that he found a "source" for clips and that they will work. Im waiting for him to drop them off. I am not interested in oem clips unless I can acquire them relatively easily for future production roofs.

I can weight these out as soon as I acquire a new scale , but I can assure you guys will be very happy with the weight of this item.

Is there any chance we can get pictures of the final product in each form to see which we like best? I really like the Kevlar but, I would like to see the others just to make sure that is what I want.

Hey Ken, that's my Kevlar one in the pik right? Looks damned good,
very excited to get it over here. I think you told me awhile ago but I
completely forgot while I was gone. How many MM does it sit up from
flush? Looks like maybe 2-3mm from the picture, and that's amazing
considering what you have to do.

As for a source for headliner clips, have you talked to Tom about trying
to get a steady import from the Jay-pan? I think they're the only ones
who still keep them in stock. Another thing would be to try having one
of your local machine shops (who deal with ABS and other hard plastics)
make these for you. If you bulk order they can probably get them down
to a relatively cheap price (.30-1.00$ per piece) this is of course after a
R&D price. If you have a NC capable of 4 axis at your work (I think you
might) I can try to get these prototyped in SolidWorks and exported to
GCode for you machines as well. I did do NC programming for years after
all. My 0.02c

Hey Guys,

I know its been a long time since I gave any updates on this particular roof. The fact of the matter is we've been having trouble producing these products to our standards consistently, although the first one came out great. No one has gotten these sunroofs yet except fro maybe one or two local individuals.

We messed up on a total of about 10 of these. That's about 1.5 month of production time considering we can only produce 2 per week. I have 10 defective ones all with various issues. All parameters of producing this item must be highly quality controlled to get this right. I know it sounds silly for sunroof, but the margin of error is very small. I have a batch of 10 defective roofs to prove it. If you are local and are on a budget and think you can work with anyone of these .. $50 each .

I have about 3-5 of these in stock at the moment. ALL FRP. We wanted to make sure we can produce these correctly and consistently before moving onto carbon or kevlar ones. The reason why we haven't sold any from the first batch is because we needed more confidence in consistency before 50 guys ask for availability after the first guy gets his.

I will be contacting the very first individuals on the list.. Or you can call or email us. 909 980 3433

Here is my question, I am also on thew new hood GB. Should I wait till you finish the hood, or should I buy the sun roof now?

My job hours have changed, and everything is very awkward, so calling you is kind of out of the question.

BTW - I want one of the GOOD FRP sun roof
