I think sevenstock should go on tour around the country, atleast 4 events a year so other people around the country could show off their rotaries as well

hell yea there should be another one, i know my reason's probably not a convincing one, but i've been waiting to go to this event ever since i've heard about it, just havent ever had the fund's to go since i was a high school student, but as of this yr im going to have a pretty decent paying job and might be able to make it, i feel this is a very historical anual event that should live on as long as there's a rotary 'movement' if you will, i agree with fbdrifter, it would be pretty interesting to see sevenstock on tour if at all possible, so please i beg of u continue the sevenstock anual tradition, i would defentitly go on a anual basis if it return's and support sevenstock in any way that i can

people flying in from new zealnd hsould be testiment enough that it should always be around.

sure there may not be enough room at mazda hq, but im sure 99% of the attendees would still go if you charged $5 (and you rented out a bigger place for it)

Absolutely, the growing success should be the only motivation Sevenstock planners should need.

I need an excuse to drive down the coast on Hw-101 and Hw-1 again.

BTW, great job on SS-VII, even my G/F enjoyed it, and she's not the RX-7 fanatic that I am.

YES!!! best way i can think of to spend $500 and drive over 3000 miles, id go again in a heartbeat. I would be extrememly dissapointed if there wasn't another one

and bern, why not pay the volunteers, i donated $80 for raffle tickets, just because i wanted to support the event, im sure most feel the same way. Charge to get in, not much, but enough to cover your troubles. After showing my dad and his friend sevenstock pics and videos, they say they will both road trip down with me and my little bro next year, i don't want sevenstock to ever die.

As the people who put on the event... I volunteered the first time for SS7, my 3'rd Sevenstock... and I found out how much work and dedication is involved.... not that I'm afraid of work, but I was beat and a bit pissed that I had little to no time after the volunteering to go and see, and enjoy the show...

This is just a drop in the bucket, as well, since Bern and Co. plan for months and put in long hours with mazda R&D for the event... The fact is, it has grown exponentially, and really needs to be hosted by mazda, and get some people and $$ from them to keep it alive. It's beyond volunteers, and raffle tickets....

It's admirable that all of you want to help, and or support another SS, but maybe it's time to sit out a year, and let Mazda see / feel the impact...

So if you want to complain, complain to Mazda, that they're not supporting the rotary community enough... and that they should pick an event, Rotary Revolution, or Sevenstock to sponser, and get to it...

Talking There shouldn't be a ss8 bechause...

Hi...

There shouldn't be a ss8 bechause...

- then I could die right now for having seen it all....

- then I would have experienced something that many other people had not (greed and unsharing - peoples nature)

- then I would not think I died and gone to heaven every year - 787 startup (-many near death situations can cause stress-trauma).

- then I could sit in my hotell room all day and watch TV, instead of having the time of my life.

- then I did not have to meet those guys from Australia, Japan, etc, and of course the guys from the club doing the event.

- the list goes on, and on...

Thank you Berny, and all the other people who made this happen. I can never say this often/hard enough to even make you understand what this meant to me personally.

The show, the banquet, Racing Beat sunday.....ahh I can see it now - The light !

Get Mazda into it, and let's get back to LA !

I wish we could put something like this on in Europe. But over here it's just Ford-Ford-Ford, at Mazda :-( , and ; "what's a rotary?"

Have a nice day.

Frank

Of coarse !!! Be proud bernie, you've done well. I'm quite sure every answer will be a "yes" Are you getting tired of it ? too much work ? Totally understandable if you don't. Nobody can rock ervine's socks like you bernie.
Is mazda all for more shows ?? I wonder if the rx8 is selling like hoped for ??
Whatever you come up with, yes or no thank you for the ride.

This will be totally selfish...

I was really actively planning to make the over 4000 mile round trip to San Diego this year. DRIVING to and drom Minnesota. Yeah... I can't do it every year... but I really wanted to this year ans was actively planning to.

The chance to bitch slap the person that picked the Mazda6 tires would just be gravy.

Yes, there should be a SevenStock8. Everyone knows it's a fantastic get-together. Time for Mazda to take over the event. If they'd like to include all current makes of Mazda, to get even more Mazda publicity and product coverage that's fine with me. Call it Mazdastock and have an area dedicated to rotaries.

I think the test drives of Rx-8 and 3 wagon @ JGTC was a great idea, they can do that at Sevenstock or whatever it will/can be called too. Might stimulate new car sales which is what every car manufacturer is interested in doing.

Yes.

We are all motivated by something. I am motivated by what I see as the greatest car related event in the country...Seven Stock. An entire community pulling together for one event is...well it's a beautiful thing. SevenStock is a mecca for me..as it is for most folks in the "flyover" states. I have a dream of a whole line of cars crossing the country on their way to cali for a future Seven Stock. Keep the dream going man!

I would love for there to be a SS8 but, you really hit home by how much work goes into it, your analogy you gave me struck home by how much we under apriciate what you and the rest of the crew behind the sceens have done for the rotary community.

As for SS8 another monster event would be great, or resorting to its roots as a picnic would be an event I wouldnt miss, and adventure out of AZ for, just to see the cars the people and the love abound for rotaries.

Ill bring the 5 lb. tub of potato salad.

That's actually a tough question.

With SevenStock 7 being the first one I've attended, I don't have much of a basis for comparison. Although I would agree with the statement that if the event were to continue to grow, the Mazda HQ in Irvine isn't big enough. But it adds a lot of character to the event that it is held there.

It would be somewhat fitting if SevenStock 7 was the last one.

However, I think there should still be an event out there like that. If it had to be all Mazda, so be it, but I think the event loses something if it's not rotary specific.

If there's an event this year of that magnitude, odds are I'll fly out again. If you guys decide to take a year off and come back in 2006 with something different, I'd probably still be there.
