That's a surprising turn of events; oughta be interesting to see how it plays out.
125 miles from home. A little bit of a drive, but at least it's way closer than Laguna Seca (heheh). It's still doable as a day trip, with an early enough start.
Two weeks after JCCS works good, too. Just enough time to re-prep without letting the dust settle.
Let the fun begin!

Are there any trees at the venue Andy? I might have to volunteer to help sell SWAG in your booth just to grab some shade

Here's a picture taken of the venue from a scouting trip. We are looking in a SE direction in this picture. There are trees and shade, but we're working on LARGE TENTS/SHADE with misters running on full blast all day long!
Don't worry, the SevenStock Crew hates the heat as much as everyone! We're working on mitigating these small issues.
If you're still uncomfortable with the heat, we can roll down the windows of your CYM and you can give me a ride around the track!

The caravan ought to end with a victory lap around the track before breaking up to park, if that can be managed. Would be epic.

"I'm anxious for word about the "world's biggest Mazda caravan" and the whole schedule."
Let me chime in, the Mazfest folks (as far as I know) are not coordinating a caravan of Mazdas, or at least not in conjunction with the SoCal RX Club/ SS organizers.
The real deal:
We, the Sevenstock organizers, will be attempting to coordinate the largest RX-model/ rotary-car caravan. We want to blow this out of the water! An untouchable record is our vision, perhaps only broken by a subsequent Sevenstock. Since the future of the event is unknown every year, we'll hope to set the record this year.
Highway CA-14 will present the best opportunity for such caravan, with it's 50 mile stretch from I-5 to the Rosamond exit.
Anyone driving the course needs to be @ the track by 8am, driver's meeting likely @ 8:15am.
So, these folks might not get to participate. For those that want to & can join, plan on meeting @ the rendezvous early (time & exit/location TBD).
In the meantime we'll be working on the details & some "rules of the road".
For now, all drivers need to be aware that they must fall in behind the tail car once the caravan is underway, especially those playing catch-up because they're running late.
We'll announce more as arrangements are finalized.
