Thumbs down Always a few bad apples

I had made up 30-40 8"x12" prints of pictures I had taken over the last year or more, at a cost of around $250. Since I didn't have a booth at SevenStock (my 1000 copies of the magazine were lost in shipping, so I didn't bother with a booth) I asked Kathy Atkins to keep the prints in her booth and ask people if they'd like to buy a few. Well, she turned her back once and somebody stole about half the stack.

Maybe whoever stole the prints can hang out with whoever stole my laptop at the Rotary Revolution and giggle about how much fun it is to exploit the guy who keeps this site up and publishes RX Tuner.

What a dam shame man, after all the effort you guys put into this and more to the point your effort and work on the mag and pics.

Its really sad to know that this sort of thing happens. Anyway, i really enjoyed this event, it surpassed all my wildest expectations. Dont let it die, keep it going! SevenStock9 baby!

The scratch is about 4 inches long below the RX-3s passenger side window. On the deuce, one is above the front passenger wheel well or flare , and according to Jesus Cookies, there was a scratch on the door also. The scratches on his car are not as deep as the one I got. I tried using 3M and that **** just wont come off. Oh well, maybe its time to get my body work/paint done.

Ryan, damn "salt on the wound'! Hoepfully they weren't taken, and will be found.

The 2??? WHAT!!!!!! DAMN!!!! My apologies to Ben and you Wacky! This is why I hate this doing these events!!! Some also actually tagged a wall at RR&R on Sunday.

I can't believe people do this type of crap.... man we tried to keep our eyes opened this year too. It seems we we'll need to hire some uncover guys like in years past!!

VERY VERY SAD!!!! sigh.............

Its not your fault. I was there keeping an eye on everyone except they got me when I went to pee. Bong's asking price was $12,000. I offered him $6,000 since its no longer in prestine condition.

I had a "gut feeling" about this being the "last" SS for "opportunists" and didnt park in the lot with hood open this year.

Damn Mel, sorry to hear. Anyone lose any rotary oil-caps or digi-cams?

maybe asking an entrance fee (per car, not person, i realize how difficult that would be) of like $5-10 ...... will help w/ extra security and even clean up afterwards...... i was talking to alot of people, and they agree

They should've contacted you already. Thanks for the honesty of this forum member that is a long time SS attendee!

Good deal, I hope you got them back.

Last thing we need is the people running the show to get so discouraged with the fans they stop caring about the community.

Great job, Bern, Ryan Socal RX and all the folks that made this weekend happen. Well worth the money for the trip. I will be back next year. For what its worth, I would pay some small entry fee to attend if necessary, it was more than worth it.

Heh something like this never crossed my mind....to think that a fellow rotary owner who shares the same passion for their car that I do would do something so low as to vandalize other's property out of jealousy or whatnot...I mean I thought I had a nice car, but then I saw all the mint 2nd gens and was in shock...sure I was a bit jealous, but why would anyone let it go so far as to key anothers car...and stealing....this event is for US and it only happens once and year and requires a lot of labor from volunteers and sponsors....why ruin something that is for US?! I am completely with the entrance fee....help keep some hater off the side of the street from coming in and doing this....sorrry bout your rx-3 and the rx-2.

I still can't believe that someone would do this on purpose... I have to believe it was done by accident; buttons on pants, or purse, or whatever.... still really down because this deal.

The truth is, I'd rather NOT have done SS, if I knew this was going to happen to anyones ride.

Hmm....it could be an accident..you never know =/ I scratched my dads corvair just brushing past it when my jean button scraped up against it. If not an accident, then it most likely isn't a rotary owner...but some random hater on the streets. Entrance fee!~

I'm also a fan of the entrance fee idea...

If you don't want to take anything for free... call it a manditory purchase of 5 raffle tickets. I bought like 80$ worth this year anyway! I didn't really have the money but it sounded like you guys weren't selling many throughout the day and I didn't see anything I really needed as far as parts, so I kept buying tickets.

I'd love to see another year of SS from you Berny, maybe you can open it up to more volunteers this year to work security as well? I'm so bummed to hear about this... especially the tagging and the laptop... that really REALLY pisses me off. Especially after I just made a huge stink talking to my friend about how GREAT the rotary community is and how it's not corrupted by ********. =/ I guess the ******** are moving in like cockroaches.

Just like when the Hells Angels did security at Woodstock!

maybe we could just have you do security, if anyone got out of hand you could eat them in one bite!

the raffle ticket thing is not a bad idea either......but it wouldnt matter to me, an entrance fee would be perfectly fine...... and im sure the extra $$$$ would help make SS a little safer for vendors and cars alike....... I VOTE FOR AN ENTRANCE FEE

That wouldn't be easy to have an enterance fee for every person, it's not like the event is held in a building......every car maybe, but it's still not gonna stop people from doing ****.

Just to clarify, the laptop deal was at ROTARY REVOLUTION, not SevenStock.

Just bad luck following poor Ryan around.

What we need is that ALL of you and US, keep an eye-out for everyones rides! If we are all watching this would help keep the event a little safer for all. And believe you me, if one of you sees anything, we will bust them and have them shipped off in the squad car... I would say first kick their as**S , but then assault charges are BAD!

Next year, if there is a next year, we will deputize everyone on here to watch out!
