Wondering if anyone wants to meet up at Alabama International Dragway

This friday aprilth or next friday april 14th i wanna go to AID in Steele Alabama to run my new GXL fc for the first time... non turbo headers full exaust and custom intake.... it would be great to see some other 7's there to show me wat 7's r really made of instead of neear to stock like mine.. or just to see other 7 owners.... it would be a cool place to meet for anyone close or anyone far that just loves to drive... they usually have some nice cars there that race.... for info u can go to "www.alabamainternationaldragway.com" or address is 1245 crump road, steele, alabama for anyone who wants to get directions they can go to yahoo or mapquest im sure they can find some... or anyone who is around or knows how to get to hoover, alabama that dont know how to get to steele they can post and we can meet up somewhere or someone who just doesnt wanna drive by themself....... thanx for anyone who wants to go id love to hear back from people to decide wether this friday or next.

Most everyone around AL is going to be at Deals Gap this weekend so that is out. I personally had rather go on a Sunday afternoon, but I might come out on a friday night if enough people decided to go.

The problem is getting people to come out. It's $10 per person reguardless if you're racing or not. I personally would love to run my 7 on a 1/4 track, but unfortunately my car is down until at least July and then I will need a tune before I'm able to do any hard driving.

Friday night is Midnight Madness so that's mostly kids and ricers running everything from 4-wheelers to mom's Volvo. Sunday is Test-N-Tune, so most of the pros and tuners come out that day.

Yeah thats one of the main reasons I had rather go on Sunday, you don't get some idiot in a pick-up getting mud all over the track, or these stupid little civics that run 16+ running 100 times trying to beat there buddys muddy 1978 pick-up. Talk about Redneck Ricerville.

There are usually less people on Sunday to so you don't have to wait in line for 2 hrs for a run.

The only advantage about Friday is there are usually a lot of females that are easily impressed... hook-ups galore. I haven't been since '97 so I guess I'm too old for that now.

There is usually a Bham get together every month or so. Just check in it usually gets posted up somewhere, you should join us for one of those. If you do decide to go to steele one sunday post up and I may try to come, I would like to run again since I took my cats out. I suck at drag racing, or actually I'm just a wuss and don't like launching hard(to hard on the drivetrain).

Also I'll be at Barbers all day next Saturday the 15th for a track day, not sure if anyone else will be running, but they will probably stop by for a little while. You should come out and hang out.
