Installed my latest $457 modification... A Florida license plate (Scoffs in utter disgust at the absurd cost of the plate...)

He is new to the state so he has to pay the fees.
Same thing happened to me when i brought my RX7 from Canada in 1995

 

Yeah they basically add a $200 fee if it's a first time registration.

 

Sadly not a very cool one... Just a regular FL tag.

Yup. The DMV lady told me they changed the fees about 2 years ago and they more than doubled. $228 was just for the Oklahoma to Florida title transfer. Then of coarse there are the ten other misc bullshit fees and taxes. Robbery...

I have moved state before and purchased vehicles out of the state I was living in (including my FD) and I have NEVER paid this much for a tag save my DD tag & tax when I purchased it.

Apologies... I will quit bitching now. I just had to get it off my chest.

 

Everything the state provides a service for has now doubled in fees to recoup income the state has lost from Tourism, Sales Tax etc...
Remember we are one the few states with no state income tax, so they have to scrape from the bottom of the barrel

 

I can see our property taxes going up soon...I look to install the RE wing today...hopefully get some pics up tonight!

 

Ordered my new turbo mani and wastegate hopefully ordering the new gt35r monday
