All he asked was "if everyone liked the rat look" I agree with Landers 100% At least make it all 1 color..lol... I have driven some shifty rides but for the most part no-one has seen me on the street without the car being MONOtoned...

The "i just fixed collision damage" look is just not everyone's cup o tea... Most of those cars would be really awesome with a little paint..

I think everyone here can agree that we 're here to share ideas and knowledge, and love of Rx-7's. Yes, it's too bad that some of us aren't as fortunate as others and can't rebuild a nice fast "7" in 6 months or less. But you'd think as a builder in the industry, with tones of knowledge, one would encourage and inspire. But, instead they don't seem to have the common sense to not **** off those who may actually contribute to putting food on their table for the family. Sounds to me like someone is not very smart when it comes to business. Hope you're accomplishing what you set out to do.

I'd say it's quite the opposite. Landers is much more valuable to you guys then you are to him. I think he stays pretty backed up with work.

Very nice, looks like you know how much work goes into a paint job. Love the wheels... you have a set of those for each car?

Zach - Very nice looking RE-5.

Memphis - That's a great looking paint job. Who painted it?

Me and a guy. Long story that you can read about here: http://www.rotarycarclub.com/showthread.php?t=48

It turned out great the first time(in the picture above). I think I can still make it look better than the pictures, I just still have alot more wetsanding to do.

Wow, that's kinda sucky and good at the same time. At least it was a cheap repaint due to having a hookup. Hope it turns out to your liking after the wet sanding. Is it single stage or base/clear?

It was not a cheap repaint. I have around $3000 in it right now. It is a base/ clear. Luckily it has a very thick coat of clear on it so I'm about 90% sure I can make it look "show quality", it's just going to take alot of wetsanding and cleaning some overspray off of a few things(you know... the things you should be able to avoid with the proper prep work). If push comes to shove, I'll repaint it when I get back and make it look even better if I'm not happy with it. The shooting is the easy part as long as you put the time into the prep work.
