We are meeting on the 21st.. We are a little more active in the spring/summer. Check the TN specific section for meets. If you are at all interested in attending SCCA autocross events or Drift events I would be a good contact as I try to attend/participate in those events..
I am currently without an Rx-7 so I would be Autocrossing in either my 2000Mustang GT or my 1991 Mazda Miata.. Drifting..umm, Probably in the Lexus...
Here are some pictures of a couple of my Previous 7's.

As far as I know, the only areas in TN that have local meets are the Nashville/Murfreesboro area and the Knoxville area... the memphis crew may get together some too but I haven't seen any threads about it. There is also a larger National meet every year at Deals Gap on the TN/NC border, see my sig for details.

UNfortunately I am usually stuck here working and watching my 3 year old when the meets/runs are held, and I am about 1-1.5 hours from most of the action anyway. Here are some pics of my FC on the dragon last summer. I have pics of the 8 as well but I need to resize them.

All bullshit aside, $75 worth of rattle can base and clear and some sandpaper/blocks and a buffer can work wonders for a year or 2 at a time. Even a $199 maaco job would be better than nothing. You dont have to spend over 1500 bucks if you dont want, but you dont have to look like you just drove out of the junkyard either.
Even if you dont know what you are doing and get some runs/rough patches in it, you can buy your own paint and a cheap gun for 200 bucks and do it yourself in your driveway. Doesnt have to be show quality.

QFT Kevin.
I made an attempt to patch some of the paint that is peeling on my FC. Although it looks like ****, I still like it better than the gray primer that was showing. At least I tried!!
You can see it here, you can see the repair on the door and fender. I gave up went it fell off around the handle.

I convert the garage.. I have lights, heaters, and a ventilation system. I am hoping to install the 60 gal 240v compressor soon, but I still have the portable one... Couple shots, the desk was a textured metal.. The FC was just primer with clear sprayed over it..

Actually I like the rat-rod look. Keeps people from second glancing the car to steal it and makes for less stress when it comes to scratches and dents.
An old photo of my 88 SE, converted to 5lug with 4piston fronts and the base rear. No longer is there PS/AC, nor much of the rear carpeting. Already got replacement fenders, waiting for taxes for bumpers and suspension.

Nothing wrong with the "under construction" look... I got more compliments on my car when it was completely primered.
