But now that a location has been secured, i'll give this advice....the choice for Pettit was because of him having parts in the event something happens. Understandable. However, if you think or feel your car is going to need some kind of part...then guess what its not ready to be tuned!! If paying for a tuning session then thats all you should be getting. Its not entirely fair to those that came fully prepared to get tuned and have to wait because someone has to wire up their fuel system, or come to get tuned with old plugs and decides to change them when the car is strapped in on the dyno. All this stuff should be done prior to arriving at the dyno, so that way the only thing that is required is whether or not you want race gas.
Im not bashing Pettit in anyway, im merely offering advice that will make things go a bit smoothly for those that pay to have Steve come and tune.

Seems like you guys can't come to an agreement on dyno location. Steve seem to have choosen where he will be most comfortable at allready and I'm not talking about the titty bar.
Probably everyone should vote based on the number of cars closer to the location of choice that is offcourse if Steve agrees to it.
I say tune cars at both locations so as to satisfy everyone involved!

 

I say Chris tunes at Cartek and Steve at Pettit.
Theres a certain white car that should be finished by that date and will need tuning if you know what I mean LOL!

 

Either place is fine with me. You guys just need to decide where to go. I have very good experiences with both places and the guys at cartech were more than helpful when I was there last....

 

Steve, are you willing to tune on the road only? I'm not too fond of the Dyno. Also, is there any discount for tuning two cars?

Alright guys the deadline for deposits being in Steve's hands is May 30th or the event gets cancelled or he'll charge us an extra $50 dollars per person for flight fees. He has to get tickets and reservations. So I'll need everyones deposits and waivers by the May 26th - 27th weekend so I can mail them out to him on Monday.

lassen118 has PMed me and wants in but I'll wait to add him until he posts.

As far as dyno facility is concerned

Pettit has agreed to stay and thier Dyno time is really reasonable
Cartek is central to those driving from both West Palm and Miami.

I will drive to either. Please post your preference for the record.

Where are you guys?

I still haven't received communications from anyone on the list in almost two weeks. I've had a couple people call me and say they want in. Since time is short on getting these deposits in I'm going to say that who ever sends deposits in gets on the list. If we get more than five, great. But Steve needs to know who's in.

I will post as I receive deposits. If you've sent me the deposit/ waiver please PM me and let me know to look out for it.

Deadline was this past weekend. I will check with Steve about how many additional we can have and how late I can send him these deposits but as it stands now I only received deposits from:

lassen118 and myself by the deadline.

Ixlr82 sent his directly to Steve.

I do not have much time this week to go and retrieve the other deposits that were not received. The deadline was set so that there would be time for Steve to receive these in the time frame he requested.

If you already sent it I might ask that you write another check to Steve and contact me and make sure I get the deposits by Tuesday afternoon. Your other checks will be returned or destroyed.

I screwed up! I feel stupid to admit this, but I forgot stamps went up in price, and sent this out and didnt check my mail until today and got my own letter back for a stupid 2 cents! what is the deal now can I still resend this out or what?
