Well, I think this will turn into a pick-up-along-the-way caravan. I am in Manchester bugman1973 so we could meet up along I-24 in Manchester. I am just planning on going down early Sat. and driving back that afternoon.

We can meet on Inter. 65 when you get to Huntsville. I have to find someone that can take my drag tires down. Don, you going? The drag racing is Saturday, correct! I will be coming back that afternoon-night.
Do they sell race gas at Steele? I would think so . I hate to fill up here to burn half on the way down..

Chad, which route are you and David planning on taking down? When I mapquest, it says that the shortest way is to take I-24 to I-59 to Steele. Is that the route you guys plan on taking. I was planning to hook up with sk8world, but I think the huntsville way might add alot of time to the trip.

What times are people looking at trying to roll out. The event starts at 9:30am so we would have to leave Nashville at 6:30 am to get there when they open. Chad mentioned 9am,but that would put us there close to 12pm and only give us about 3 hours.

MIke,
I think this is the quickest way to Steele, instead of I65S to Bham to Steele.
I also don't think Steele has any race gas. Only place I know of that has some is in Trussville, AL (30min south). If you want to fill it up there, then you would want to go thru Bham to Steele. If so, let me know, I'll join you guy up to Steele.

Mike,
You need a flatbed trailer to haul that thing on. That way if something breaks your good to get home.

True Phil. That is the way I have used before. I was going to suggest this but did not want to confuse anyone...
Chad, Dont jinx me!!!!
I should be on the dyno again this week. If all goes well I am 100% in. I am just not happy with the tune on the no load dyno. And since its hard to street tune 26+ psi I feel its only safe to get back on the dyno. This time dyno dynamics.

Mike,
I'm not trying. Just figured that would save you some race fuel.
My I would like to be at the dyno that day so I can show your fd up with my
180-210 hp gsl-se! Ha ha ha nope that made you laugh as much as I did typing it.
No, but I think it would be cool to see that car and the other 450+ rx7's in action. Can't wait!!!!!

well my wife just reminded me that my boys last soccer game for this season is Sat. at 8:45am. I will be leaving after that. So safe to say I will hit the road at 10am. That will get me there by 11:15. Anyone want to wait on me? Can I still compete?
Oh, my brother was test driving a new vette tonight (LS2 not ZO6) so we went and played. I drove the vette before we ran and was very surprised! It had so much touque! Made me a little nervous being on pump gas... But we went at it and I would walk away everytime. We would both spin until 3rd then I would pull away at a decent pace. Last run from a slow roll and I let him go first. I spun real bad and had to get out of it for a second in 2nd but still managed to catch up and pass in 3rd gear. But I feel I would need more boost to do the same on a zo6... I was running 17psi..

I could leave at 8:00 am my time and run down 65 over to huntsville but will be in the
85 GSL-SE since the FD's calipers/downpipe are not on yet.
I should know more by the end of the week.
