Lets start this new thread as I am sure that this will be the name of the RX-7 Club that we have been wanting to establish...

The poll that was started by Mazdagirl81 shows that over 60% prefer for the club to be Global (FL Global) so it would be befitting that it will cater to both counties such as Dade & Broward and we may also include Palm Beach since we have friends like DGnizer who is from UP THERE

So let me know what you think ...

the stickers will not be huge like for the windshield.. most people dont like that.. instead we will probably have a smaller one that can go on the side window or rear window... its what most of the people want.

Hey Val,
Even though I have only attended 2 meets, I must agree with the overall census that it be called the So. Fla RX-7 Club. I believe it is a good choice so that it includes all 3 counties and it doesn't give the impression that it is only open to those who live in Dade County. I have enjoyed both meets as everyone I have met has made me feel at home. I am really motivated to finish my FB so that I can attend the meets with my 7. Keep up the good work as it is a great concept to keep the local rotary heads together.

I am not sure.. I believe that club was dissolved.. I came onboard with my idea for a new club back in January of this year and our first meet was held at my shop in Kendall on March 27th, 2005

We have had up to now 8 successful RX-7 meets and last weeks at Amelia Earhart Park had a total of 41 cars and with over 60 people attending.

We are having one more meet this year to end the year well... Its happening Sunday, December 11th @ Markham Park. Look for the thread:

There has been a poll as to the name of the newly formed club which will commence as of January 2006 .

It will be called the " SOFLA RX-7 CLUB "

Its great to be a graphic designer

Program is called Adobe Illustrator
which you draw vector based graphics with type and artwork *freehand*

so the south florida rx-7 club has a picture of the whole state?

 

Took the words out of my mouth..

 

1. the artwork is still not final
2. Using the full state as a graphic will make more sense because if I would cut the artwork of the map into just the lower portion of the pennisula it will be illegible to anyone.

Here is my concept the I designed for the main website of the club

*all the images and text in this image are just placeholders and not final. The logo is still not finalized so please do not jump to conclusion.

*left column of the site will list articles on latest news on events the club has done and upcoming news and etc.

*on the right side column will have GOOGLE ads(which are better than regular banner ads because they match the content on the page and they are usually in text format and it won't bother the main design of the site...blends right in with it. Also have links of club sponsors and maybe a Hurricane Relief button as well...

Looks nice Carlos.... one of the sponsors will be DAD from Dynamic Auto Design, Speed n' Style, Econotires, Miami Muffler, and I am working on a few others.

Once the club is established with its officers and such I will be entering into contractual agreements with some of these sponsors.

I propose having membership cards done for each member perhaps with a pic of each person. A forum or Guestbook on the site would be nice where members and visitors can post threads or just comments...

 

Already have a forum being prepped right now for free...with minimal banner ads
