SoFla area Rotary cook out - June 25

Ok, I just got back from the park. Unfortunately they had no shelters available for June 18th, so it has been booked for June 25th. We can start a list of who will be going and what everyone will be bringing. If there is anything particular that you would like to bring or any special needs (vegetarian), just let me know and we will accommodate. The shelter is for up to 45 people so friends and family will be more than welcome.

We will be at shelter 0, it is a little bit off the water and away from everyone else. There are some good and bad to this shelter but it was the only available. One of the best parts is that it is completely separated and has its own fairly large (around 50 car) parking lot. Bad is that it is a 5-10 minute walk to the water and there is no bathroom at the site but is 5 minutes walking from the nearest. It is also right on Flamingo, but hey we might see some accidents from people looking at our cars.

Place: CB Smith Park 900 N. Flamingo Rd. Pembroke Pines, FL 33028 shelter 0
Time: 12PM - closes or everyone leaves, I will be showing up early to set up.
Date: June 25th

If you plan on attending add your name to the list below and I will update it with the Rx-8 people as well, also add if you are bringing people so we know how much to bring.

Attending

Rebuild your turbo? What happened? I'll take it we won't see you on Friday at Towers then?

You don't "have" to drive your 7 or 8 to the cookout, it is more of just a community thing. We all have something in common and should use it to our advantage, get to know people and help those that need it. I have also been wanting to have a cook out and this makes it fun lol.

Yup,
It started blowing blue turbo smoke on Friday at the Dragon. So the T78 does need a rebuild.
Ill show up friday, just driving with a smoky blue exhaust at idle.

You, sir, are a good man. I'm so excited to bring my car out. Roll bar will be in within a couple of weeks (so my harnesses are actual functional and not there just to keep cops off my back if/when I get pulled over - it HAS worked before). Ordering wheels and tires this week. Throwing on Pettit's brakes (not BBK) this Saturday.

I love having the itch!

Wow, this is getting bigger than anticipated. If it gets big enough next year I will get a bigger, better shelter. Where we are, we will have plenty of room for everyone though so no worries.

I attached a word document with everything needed. If we can get a few people for each item I think we can keep cost to a minimum for everyone. I will update the lists from both boards so we can see what everyone is bringing.

I figure the easiest way for beer is BYOB, it would be too expensive for only a few people and I don't know who drinks.

If there is anything on the list that you would like to add, please feel free and we will get it done. I put myself down for a couple things and I am sure I will grab some more.

If the document doesn't work just let me know and I will just post up the text and we can update within the thread. When the date gets closer if you have to drop out just let me know and I will take care of it.

Gary
