Can we get a classifieds section like some of the other regional sections?

I think we should get one. Would make life so much easier... however too many FCs in this area for the few, the proud, the FD owers.

Put this in the suggestions section, too. I really like the idea. I'd drive a distance for the right part, car, parts car, etc.

Why not just look in the proper FS/WTB forum in the Classified forum? You can screen for location...

Because sometimes selling things outta state/region is a bigger pain than buying. Im of the mindset that id rather see the person and hand them cold hard cash then to send electronic funds and wait for it to clear...

Again, you can screen for location.

I'm opposed to the idea of having classifieds in this region because:

1. There is already a whole section of the Forum dedicated to buying and selling things.
2. It increases the number of forums people would have to search to find something. Keeping it centralized and organized makes finding what you're looking for much easier.

FWIW, this has been brought up to the Admins, who are the only ones who can add another sub-forum, and they didn't do it.

sounds like a good idea.

I completely agree and respect the 1st and 2nd Gens. But my point is there wont be much for me to buy. But I still think it's a good idea!!

I would but I feel that the Suggestions section is largely ignored.

1. Yes there is, but it's a bitch to screen for the right area. Maybe this could be for whole vehicles only.

2. I see your point, but my point is that we would only need 1 section.

Also, we could make it for whole cars only. That would reduce the clutter of parts threads. Buying parts 1000 miles away isn't that hard because most of them are relatively painless to ship. Buying a car that's 1000 miles away... not so much.

The problem with screening the location is that the search engine uses a min of 3 letters.

So i can't search. FL or NC. Most people don't spell out Florida.

The only person that disagree with adding it is you. I bet if we had a poll...you would be the only one to disagree. We have so many reasons to add one..but you have no solid one not to have one.

Even the Supraforum has a Se sell section.

Are you saying that if you need a part in your location...you would not use it?

Location is supposed to be part of the title of the FS/WTB items anyway, so you could just search what you're looking for and look at the title of the thread.

who is responsible to create the section? Couldn't the mods of the section just create it? or does the forum mod have to approve it first?

Having a SE Classifieds section would be great for everyone... more people would be able to find stuff they need closer to their location, and it would keep the regular for sale section smaller so the forum isn't having all of these lag issues. Then the mods wouldn't have to keep coming up with ways to downsize the forum. People can link their SE Classifieds section ad to their original post in the for sale section, too, so they don't post things more than once and use up space.

Other Area forums have it already West, Canadian, European, South have them.... There's no reason for SE not to have one too. I mean come on, The South region has a Lounge as well. We aren't asking for a lounge, all we are asking for is a classified section for us to use much like the West, South, Canadian, and European do.
