^^Yes, especially since the intent of the site is to circumvent what they are charging the vendors here for advertisement space.
Isn't Phil a mod here, wouldn't that be a conflict of interest?? I guess he doesn't care since he will be making $ on the other site just like he is for DGRR!

yeah but the forum admin cant figure out the difference between a vendor selling a product and your joe blow selling used parts.. its getting a little rediculous. instead of helping the rotary community out, they are trying ot turn the forum into a cash cow
on another note, i finally got a boost controller, turned it up to about 13psi yesterday.. pure awesome. im going to get it dynoed/tuned again this week. the coolant seal seems to be holding up ok, i may make it to this meet
dj, how long is your car going to be in the shop??

I can't comment on the charges as I've never sold anything here, so perhaps the move is justified, IDK. Although I stand by my opinion that Phil doesn't mind making $ where he can...
NICE!!
Its not in yet, so IDK. I've had to compile all my receipts for add ons to send to the adjuster to up the value. They've had to consult a 3rd party because NADA sucks for old cars, particularly those with low mileage. Parts are crazy expensive, just the bumper cover and air dam are like $1400 unpainted. We should hear back from the 3rd party anytime. If the repairs ($4800) are more than 75% of the value then they would want to total it. Not gonna let that happen though...I'm up to $5600 in receipts excluding the car itself, parts only with no labor since I've done it all myself with some help from Gianny on some. So easily the value is in the double digits. I'm also watching an '85 on ebay right now with 53k, its at $5700 and the reserve hasn't been met, just more evidence of mkt value on low mileage FBs. If I need to get nasty and bring in a lawyer (got several in the fam) to make them fix it then I will.

no, phil isnt a mod on here. that site is just a place that venders can advertise and sell for free, and joe blow can sell for free. yes there is alot more info on this site, but with time hopefully it will all be over there and so will all of you!

i wonder why masin has jump on to the other forum's bandwagon so quick?!?!?
anyway, back to discussing the meet march 8th starting in easley...allen, i'm a fan of all you care to eat buffets, but i'm sure what ever you pick will be fine. I don't really care about every one sitting at the same table, if we all have a table close to each other, i think the wait staff is better at handling us in smaller groups and all one large group, where ever we eat...

Maybe because he sells a lot of parts to fund his once-a-quarter car purchases!
I don't think I will be able to make this meet guys, unless some sort of miracle is pulled off and my car goes in and out of the shop before then. I'm not holding my breath...

Easley is pretty ******* boring but its a decent little cruise over to the Mountains from here. Not too bad but we need to think of a route to take (mountain road wise) and I can go from there.
Traynham... what about the 178, 215, then 276 Pisgah run. I figure that would be a nice little cruise as usual.
Where does everyone want to eat some lunch at?
-Outback
-Cracker Barrel (actually in Powdersville off I-85)
-Golden Corral
-Applebees
-Ruby Tuesdays
-Fatz
-etc.
Throw some ideas up. I don't have the place to throw a BBQ nor have the room. So what are some ideas fellas?
