SC June Meet in Charleston
Early stages of planning:
Next month's meet shall be in Charleston. We haven't been down there in awhile and it will include one or two that haven't been able to make it up to Columbia or further north.
Due to the drive down, I am guessing we will be meeting for lunch, maybe dinner?
For now let's discuss restaurants...
Suggestions are welcome.
Here is what's been suggested to me so far:
Buccaneer
Taco Boy
Bubba Gump's Shrimp & Co
A W Shucks
Olde Town
Hanks
Other ideas are welcome...
Date/time still up in the air

Anyone game for making the meet this weekend (Sat 12th)? Reese has something to do on the 19th, and his work schedule has gone wonky. We can no longer count ahead and know what weekend he will be off. I got asked how the planning for this was going on facebook, but no one has replied here.
I know it is short notice.

****... I'm supposed to be friggin' busy @ work. I'm slamming and we still have a couple more weeks of busy season. I would try and swing it but I need to work as much as I can to fund my rebuild. Plus... I don't want to drive it down that far in it's current condition.

Ok this Sat the 12th.
Jammin text msged me and said he is good.
Plans: go to the battery? Unfortunately parking would be as we can find it... and eat somewhere near the area or the market area.
Folly Beach....
People need to chime in on where and what and...when the hell I get to eat

i'll be back around that area this weekend and ill try to make it out but i would would much prefer if it was closer to the Goose Creek/North Charleston area. the downtown area is crazy and has the worst drivers in the world. i would rather not put my car in jeopardy haha.

Toby if tape could fix Kenneth's car long enough to drive from the mountains down...hehe maybe it would hold your tires
Daeldalus: I won't be driving, that automatically makes your car safer.

Also I saw Jammin responded to Reese's post... anyone else in the area making it in July for:
South Carolina group to Zoom Fest 2010
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHAT: Zoom Fest 2010
WHERE: Talladega, AL at Talladega Grand Prix
WHEN: July 17-18. See more info here
WHO: YOU GUYS!
Ok, I'm already planning to make it down there to at least hang out and, if I can swing it, run in the open track/time attack. I want to see who is up for making the trip so we can plan on a time to leave, a place to stay Friday night, etc.
Even if you don't have any interest in driving in the open sessions, there will be a parade lap where you get to go around the track without the competitive side to it. Also, there will be a car show, food, and rotorheads galore!
Nicole and I will be in the vert. Who else is coming?

Cool. I'll be in a white RX8 with a Rotary Engine sticker on the front lip - hard to miss. This will be my first time autox'ing the '8 to get it enrolled in MazdaComp.

You are out of your damn mind. North Chuck police have had their budget slashed by the state... if you *want* your car impounded go right ahead. They need the money. Same goes for Hanahan - I have my own police "escort" from Rivers to my house almost every day, just in case I do something wrong...
If we *must* meet at KMart, let's actually park over by the Texas Roadhouse so we're not as visible.
What about Sesame, by the old navy base? You'd have to be careful parking, but they have a large lot and the food is good. http://preview.tinyurl.com/2ej45j5
2nd best burgers in the chuck after Poe's but I like Sesame better. There's also one in the Citadel Mall, now.
Centrepoint is really busy on the weekends, but it could work. The Centrepoint Grill just went out of business (shame, too) but there are other stuff there to eat... I'm just kinda sick of it all since that's the closest place to eat when I see my wife for lunch (she works at the airport).
I'll be there, Buddha willing, but my wife has to work. Reese has my cell so please call when you guys get close.

While we're at it, anyone need a spare for a 4-lug RX7? This is the fancy Enkei lightweight aluminum dealie, will work on GSL-SE and all FC 4-lugs. 4x4.5 might work on something else too. No idea at all why I have it.
Free for the taking. OK, OK, you can buy my soda.
