Can anyone help with the cooling issues I am having?! I have replaced just about everything I can think of minus the heater core. But I got a new water pump, Thermostat, hoses , and went to the 79-82 radiator, because I read on here that the short 3 row, had better cooling capacity. I have an efan that moves 2800cfm, but as Im driving, thatg shouldnt make a difference. It only does it when Im driving, if I stop, it runs normal.
Running out of time, Help Please.

 

BAD Thermostat? Or, did you replace it after you had the overheating issues?

 

its been replaced. It could be bad as well. Im looking for a place to do a pressure trest to see if I had a keak. So right now looking fior another thermostat, and possibly another rad cap.

 

darth- only use a mazda t-stat, and a new cap.. i used a higher pressure cap on mine..

 

ive got a 13lb, Ive seen 16 18lb, what pressure are you using?
I got a t-stat from victoria british, it looks different, tried it and still ran hot, got one from advanced and it looks identical to the stock.

darth- i was always told to ONLY use mazda t-stat.. and i think i have a 18lb cap on mine. please tell me you didn't run it hot. hot=death. death=13brew. wait that might be a good thing! fjdrx7 would say "do the damage!!"

 

Hey call me i have a pressure tester.

 

Sup guys...well broke the engine apart today and guess what???? I need a rotor housing...anybody got any spares for sale...other than carlos ...hes out...need a 2nd gen or 3rd gen turbo rotor housing...So spread the word...

 

I have a S5 TII rotor housing, pm me with an offer if you want it.

 

I never ran it hot! it did get to 3/4 mark and I shuter down. Will try the higher pressure cap aswell.
Carlos, I am in Va. so I appreciate the use of the tester but LOL its a lil far away right now. Going to seriously Flush the system today, maybe Ive got blockage, or bubbles that wont come out. Either way, will let you know whats up.

I can drive it under normal conditions, but If i getr on it at all, is when it will raise, then go down when I calm down

congratz on the new baby, Im the guy with the black rhd fc. Its in ok shape i think I need a new door for one =P I F**ked it up awhile back. And I have a lights problem right now so I cant drive at night lol trying to fix that. oh and a broken frount diff mount i cant seem to fix not sure how to get to it could use a hand on that =P if anyone can help I would love to fix that
