Merry Christmas and Happy New Year y'all.
I would like to suggest you join me in May at Roebling Road Raceway. Each year, I organize two Driver Eds there (and it's so close to home).
Basic info:
5 Run Groups - Beginner to Instructor
Classroom, hospitality and a pig pickin'
Everything you'd want/expect in a DE
We are doing something new - a pre-registration where you can reserve your spot and your car number, payment is expected in February. Several RX-8s have already signed up (they were with us in November and don't want to miss out) and I thought you'd like to join all of us together.
We have one regular, an instructor named Neil, (from Florida), who drives an RX-7. To quote him directly:
"Great group of people, courteous, safe, and no marque snobbery here.
Roebling Road is a great track to learn the art of car control. It is deceptively easy, with enough curves, and lines, that it will make you wonder for years, which are faster & safer, and under what circumstances."
If you would like more information, please see our website - www.darksidede.com
If you'd like to pre-register - we are doing it electronically (a first for us) at www.clubregistration.net
And if you just have a question, you can contact me.
Thanks for listening...I hope you will consider joining us.
P.S. Even if you don't do DEs - you are welcome to come to the track for Saturday. We have a bunch of boys & girls coming from the Boys & Girls Club of Hilton Head. We give them a classroom (I'm hoping this time to get CopsCAIR.com's Jim to talk to them) lunch and we have a "family" parade. Everyone can line their car up on pit wall - and the kids jump into their favorite and go around the track for a few family parade style laps (under 40 miles per hour, no passing, no helmet).
Happy New Year...
