It was good to see all you guys out there. We should seriously think about having a meet sometime during the day so we can get some pictures... but I guess summer will be hear soon so that may be a lost cause with the long days coming up. And plus, I'll probably forget the damn battery for my camera again too.

BTW...

Thanks Bert for taking pictures yesterday!! Now I have **** to look at! WOOO! Yummy... FC's, FD's........ oh yeah... and a SUPRA!

I'm a happy camper.

Annnnddd... I think David had a good time... he enjoyed chilling with everyone... thanks for posting pix of his car. That totally made his day. He feels special now... to be included in the rotary madness. Maybe he will find an FD with an FC engine in it. LOL... so he has the reliability, and the FD's curves all in one. (Unless I find it first... then he can BORROW it from me!)

Mwahahahaha! *evil cackle*

Yea, I tried to get, Eric to leave me his FD while he went to Iraq, but he said, no.

Hey Johny, you think you are gonna have your TII together for Deal's Gap, or are you gonna need one of us to give you a ride?

Spotted in Cary on Saturday night -White FC

I was passed Saturday night on hwy 1/64 (northbound)by a very nice white FC with a large rear spoiler. The preson driving must have seen me up ahead (in my red vert)because it closed on me pretty quickly then backed off as it passed. It was dark so I couldn't tell if it was a S4 or S5, but it had S5 taillights and a large rear spoiler. Nice looking car and sounded pretty quick. Was that someone from this board ?

Hey guys this is kinda random but whatever. My brother is most likely going to buy one of the new 05 Mustang GTs and I was just seeing if any of you guys know of a good online mustang forum he can go to. Sorry couldn't convince him to get something with a rotary engine even though he thinks my car is badass.

Alright I got an estimate on the paint job today for $1400, plus the $300ish I'm gonna spend on parts. That's not too bad. I'm going to have to kick in about $400 of my own money but at least I won't have a salvage title.

Unfortunately, my nitrous kit still hasn't come. I'm going to file a claim with paypal tomorrow if I don't get my money back. I'll just end up spending that on the paint job. Unless the kit shows up in the mail today I think I'm going to reverse course and do the sensible things like fix my suspension. One day I hope to get the nitrous but that could be a long time.

It's coming along....nothing got done on my car this weekend either, Ashraf was out of town. He does mostly everything, although I help out with stuff when he needs a hand (I have never really worked on any cars before so I just feel more comfortable letting him do it, I am learning though, sometimes I just sit around and read through the workshop manual). He did say that the urethane motor mounts that he is fabricating for me are almost completed though, and the engine and tranny are basically done and ready to be dropped in. I have my new engine wiring harness that I need to drop off and help install if he needs it. Still waiting on my turbo kit since Aspec is all backed up, sent an email to them last week to find out where I am in line or if my kit is almost done but I haven't heard back yet, I must be annoying the hell out of them, send them an email like every week. Looks like early march now for when my car will be up and running.

Same here. I need to get on the ball and make my urethane mounts. So many knicknacks, so little time. I am taking two vacation days this next weekend to try and tie up the loose ends and get the motor back in. My SP74 is on eBay, so hopefully if it sells for a decent price I will order my SP63 (though I have been thinking of going with a GT35r or GT40r, since it is watercooled) How long is the backlog? Aren't there other suppliers?

So you are going to sell the turbo huh... My friend has an SP63 on his supra, and you can special order it with a water and oil cooled center section. It is a great turbo as are all the SP turbos that I have ever seen. Anyways good luck with whatever you decide to go with.

Yea, I am selling it. I actually just got off the phone with SP and talked to them about a watercooled SP63. I have heard nothing but good things about them and their price is a few hundred less than A-Spec.

How's the car coming along?

Yeah can't wait for my GT35R kit to get in, got it while it was on sale so that was good. It will be nice to have the extra power while still retaining a very quick spool up time which is great since I plan to track the car regularly after I get out of college.

Took my car to get inspected/oil change today. Got the oil change, but failed inspection, because apparently my RPMS are too high, even though my tach stays somewhere right at 1000 or below. Their sensors would read whatever my tach said +1000... so yeah. BUMMER. They tried placing the sensor all over the car, once even on the back hatch! Then they were like, "Well, if I could find the spark plug wires, I'd put it on there!" (So I got to show them where those were. mwahahaha)

But yeah... they tried everything, and it still wouldn't go down, even when they were near stalling her out, she wouldn't read at the RPMs they needed her to. I have no idea if my emissions will pass, because the computer program would not allow them to skip ahead to test that part for me.

Stupid yellow FC...

The guys were really nice, though. They thought I was cute cuz I knew where the oil plug was, and my spark plug wires were. Apparently men don't think women should know stuff about cars. Hehe.

Anyway, they were going to pass my back window, and they "ignored" the fact that I had a side tail light out (that I didn't even know worked... it was one on the side in the back.)

So GRRR.

On to driving my illegal FC some MORE until I can figure out how to make the RPMs go down...

Open to advice and suggestions.
