Anyone else interested in chipping in with Johny and me on a cabin for the Deals Gap run? If your going you have to have a place to stay.

The Ultimate Rally

Check out this website, http://www.ultimaterally.com/

I got it as a personal message from the organizer. I guess they saw me driving up a VIR during the Holiday Laps. I don't think I can make the entry fee though, anyone want to help me out?

Josh with your engine assisted turbo power plant or Johny with your legendary drifting skills y'all might also be interested in a shot at this ultimate road rally. Is this a lot of hype or what?

I went to the home page and clicked on the about link, there's not a rotary powered car shown! How can this be the ultimate rally without RX7s? I am insulted as all rotary owners should be. I am boycotting this event in protest of their refusal to acknowledge the ultimate vehicle. Will y'all join me in this boycott and refuse to participate or acknowledge this farce of a rally? Rotarian Brothers unite!

Johny & Josh uuh? Well it looks like this engine rebuilding and powder coating has brought y'all closer together than the rest of us realized. Y'all sure you don't want the cabin to yourselves? :0)

I agree, Bert, I had my $30K entry fee ready, and was making the shipping arrangements for my FD, but in light of your boycott, I refuse to go.

Ummm, it is a three room cabin...so I am not sure where you are going with that Bert.

You are so right, how short sighted and reactionary could I be? I'd be happy to participate, would you like to sponsor me and pay the entry fee?

I assume a dedicated rally car would have the best chance of winning this 3K race as opposed to a Ferrari or Saleen but it would be a fun event.

I'm with you Bert. How can anyone lose if they have someone sponsor them and their car. Not to mention who are these guys assuming they know something about our cars or drivers?

Rotary Solidarity, ain't it sweet? Just think you can now spend that $30K on your car and your girl.

I just meant that y'all seemed to have grown close enough to share a cabin for the weekend. I know Johny's married to a lovely and extremely tolerant woman and you have excellent taste in women. What did you think I meant? If I hadn't got my wife to go and agreed to get one of the rooms with the hot tubs then I'd be there with you guys. Y'all gonna be the party spot?:0)

Yea, I was thinking if 3 of us(obviously not you, Mr. HotTub) went in on a cabin it could be a HQ for everyone. You know drinking carrying on. Maybe a banner of some sort.

We have the Raleigh Rotary Drive_Ins at the Char Grill on Strickland Rd just west of the Six Forks intersection in north Raleigh. We starting them around 5:30 PM due to the sun setting so early this time of year but by March we'll move them back to 6:30 PM. Yes, an RX2 will be welcomed and probably worshipped on the spot. Please come whenever you have a free Saturday night. We'll be there this Saturday and you are welcomed to join us.

If it has a rotary then it is welcome (hell, we even welcome the piston guys we just make them feel bad about it )

As for myself, I would love to see a RX2 up close and personal. I am thinking about a RX2 or RX3 for my next project.

Josh and I figure between the two of us we have a chance of getting one car together by then.

Bert; Did you HAVE to tell us about the HOT TUB? Thanks for the visual.

There calling for bad weather this weekend, just a heads up.

Damn, Johny, if we got a roommate like that I don't think I would be doing much driving.

Ryan,

Sell your most prized possessions, check your credit rating and buy this car:

It's in Raleigh too.

Yeah, I've seen it out in Raleigh before. Has this guy ever came to any of our meets? I've already started to sell some of my prized possessions (speaking of.....anyone interested in a vintage Pack-Man arcade??). But, that car is not for me, not my "style"(IE, looks). Besides I'll be off to basic soon and then a year and half for AIT......I couldn't stand leaving a FD just sitting there in my driveway!

Nice Roomy Johny, it looks like Tail of the Dragon just got a lot curvier.

Ryan, buy the car we have a whole group of people that would be willing to take care of it for you, heck, it might even be running when you get back from Alpha-Indigo-Tango, Advanced Individual Training. Besides, after all that Army time you're gonna need a hobby to take your mind off of military stuff. You'll be calling the cars Romeo-Xray 7s and and Foxtrot-Deltas or Foxtrot-Charlies, or how about Sierra 5s. Yeah, you got to have something else to think and worry about, buy the Foxtrot-Delta, and paint it camo! See you Saturday.

Which Saturday - I'm local if you need FD3 parts

I still have a nice black 88 vert, so I would like to see what its all about.
I am still parting out my white '94. If your local, you could take some of the heavier stuff off my hands for a good price.

I would be like to meet you'all some Saturday (have to coordinate it with the 3 kids and wife of course)

Go to http://icyball.com/kewler/catalog/index.php?cPath=25 as a starting place.

email me at kevin (at) kewler (dot) com for more info.

Kevin
