Pictures from Saturday's Drive-In
We had a great drive-in last night and two different FD parades, one a 7:15 and another about 7:45. All gens were represented and we had another FC go topless. Keith finally made it to a drive-in and brought his beautiful red vert. It was getting dark by the time he got there so this is the best shot I could get:
Bobby showed up with his SS RX8, a beautiful car and a very interesting driver:
We also had the MB twins from G'boro show up, well almost twins:
Bobby brought along a friend that has a pristine '97 Mitsu VR-4 that all the kids seemed to like, that means all of us plus the little leaguers. It had one of those wierd V shaped engines with a lot of moving parts and sounded funny:
The body count ended up with a total of 14 rotary powered marvels (1 FB, 1 RX8, around 7 FDs and Ken, Steve, Joey, Keith, and I representing the FCs). I may have missed one or two, and we also had three cars that use the old piston technology for power.

I think all had a good time and enjoyed meeting their fellow rotary owners. Seeing the old technology just reminds us how good we have it!
NEXT DRIVE-IN IS SEPT 25, just two weeks and a week before the VIR Grand Am races on Oct 3.

Ok, I've been staying from this forum for a long time....I just decided today to venture back. I'm in Wilmington but don't have a problem heading to raleigh to meet up with some fellow rotary enthusiats. Maybe I can get some of the Wilmington guys to caravan up. Well, are ya'all doing this next weekend too?

its every two weeks RX7 Raven, so the next one will be october 2nd. it'd be awesome if you can get some guys from wilmington to come up. we might need to switch parking lots for the next meet up.

Great meet last night guys...Didn't mean to bail out on ya'll up at wendys so quick.....I hadn't slept in over 24 hrs...and I was just blahhhh.... not in a good mood . Anyways I checked out that MB FD sittin in the back of millennium mazda today.... Looks like a 93 Touring, Tan interior. The hood was open so I opened it up.....It's missing the Rats nest, UIM, and IC pipes... and the ECU was sitting in the drivers seat. Its an auto too Ken you were right....its sitting in the highest damn grass.... I'm in shorts and sandels today....was hopeing I wasn't gonna run into any snakes
After taking a look at the car I went and talked to one of the salesmen....Same story that Ken and Steve told me....he said more than likely it will belong to Millennium Mazda soon...but he aslo said that the lady that "owns" it is still paying for it I'm going back up there sometime this week to talk to a manager to get a better understanding of what is going on with this FD. Maybe if I can get ahold of this "owner" we can talk some business

Ah...so you guys were hiding at Wendys? I got lost at the end of the RX7 train after Food Lion since I couldn't get over in traffic for a turn to follow... It's just as well though, I went home and was pretty tired by the time I got here.

Whats Up Guys
Sorry I missed the meet. I was very productive this weekend I have my intercooler hooked up and also installed my injectors and my s-afc. I just have to get the battery relocated, and then I'm done.
Steve: since you have so much fun working on rx's we could have a ball at my house. With my fmic and cold air intake it seems to have helped my boost creep and my vacuum seems to be more too Maybe I fixed a vac leak somehere. I would like you to go to a dyno for tuning with me, Ill get up with you. Sorry I haven't got you pics of the A.E.
I took apart the engine from my 86 the housings look real good to me I'll have to get a professional to look at them though.
Tearing down the engine was sort of like my first sexual experience. I had no idea what I was doing I only knew it felt good.

hey my sister's boyfriend works there and that 7 has been there for about 2 1/2 years. one of the cats glows red when it runs and actually set the floor board on fire for about 5 sec until one of the mechanics put it out. no one there can figure out how to fix it thats why its all torn apart. its a piece of s*** and I wouldn't recomend getting it unless you plan on doing a swap or complete rebuild with new computers also.

I think that's funny, they should just hire us rotory guys for a day and we'll have it all fixed up.
