Saturdays In Raleigh, Nc
I know I'm off on the 2nd, although I would be fine with the next Saturday as well, as long as I know before Thursday and can request off from work.
*edit*
Can we invite the sushi chick? I can bring some whipped cream.

My vote is to replace the meet on the 9th. I'm hitting up the NC Symphony freebie on the 2nd. Gary, I like that Sonic idea and since it seems we are all in agreement then lets etch it in stone that the second meet will be at Sonic. I was thinking about getting a slush just the other day. yum...y um... yum.
Here is what I have so far (Greg, mind if I steal the cups. I have a bunch of them here that I can bring):
Charcoal:
Plates/Flatware/Liquid Refreshments/Condiments/Sushi Chick: Greg
Burgers/Dogs/Buns: Josh
Chips/Cookies/Cups: Me
Melons... ahem fruit (yum, yum yum): Gary
Whipped Topping (for sushi chick): Joey
Anythign else we need?

Alright, I have a suggestion...once we figure out if we are moving our location and will start having a drive/grill out one weekend and a normal meet the other weekend, I think it might be a good idea for us to start another thread. Ya know since we really have been through a lot in the past months I just think it's the right thing to do. The mods can just lock this thread from being posted in but we could leave it up for a little to do whatever searching we may need. I know some were against this before but I really do think is the right time to do this. Just my 2 cents.

When is Eric back? Nic, are you off this weekend?
It'd be nice to coordinate the grilling for a weekend where most of our members could come.
on another note i found some kick *** roads up near our old route. i gotta find the names of them, but there is one road that just snakes back and forth for about a mile. i have no freaking clue why they woulda built the road this way, it's over flat land, but regardless its a blast to drive, and connects with a couple of the backroads that we'd been taking. might be a cool drive for the cookout. best of all NO EGYPT MOUNTAIN RD. hahaha.
also, i am down for Nic's idea, of starting a new thread. we need to kinda sit down and decide exactly what direction we want the group to go in. this is somehting maybe we could do at this cookout. then start a new thread.

thanks to all our members out there serving. i know i am always grateful for what you are doing out there, but just wanted to make a special note, since it was memorial day.
thanks Nic, Eric, Victor, Jason. I can't think of anyone else in our group right off top, but if I missed you thanks.

Hey "G', Phil and CO... The driveshaft that was a bandaid broke on an uphill grade at the local mall... Ironically the night of my friends wedding. Maybe god was saying something. Anywho ordered a DS that sat and got it Sunday. Slipped her in and KaBlam-O back on the road with a vengeance... MWUAHAHAHAHAHA

I haven't been on here in a couple days and have alot of things to cover, so I'm gonna put it in a new format:
On women:
Gary, you can have Leann, I'll take Jessica Alba ALL DAY!! Oh, and that sushi chick too, WOW.
On the meets:
Sonic sounds like a great idea, I'm not sure where it is though, so I'm gonna need an escort there the first couple times probably.
On the grill out:
If we're doing it this weekend (Jun 2nd), I may not make it. I WILL be passing through Raleigh that night, but I'm not sure what time, it may be around midnight or so even, but probably around 9 or 10 if I make good time. I'm leaving this Saturday. Also, I'll have to bring something easy if I can even make it. I mean like, you guys call me if you need something that was forgotten and I can stop by the store and pick it up, haha. I don't have a hotplate in the Lude or I'd bring some hot food, haha.
It seems this grill out won't work for everyone since we didn't plan it far enough ahead, but at least if we do it once a month everyone should get a chance to attend.
On the races:
I was watching Indy a little bit Sunday, but I didn't watch the NASCAR race, I don't get into that. Gary had it right...left turn left turn left turn...doesn't interest me. My nephew was like "it's the same as road course, you're still going in a circle"...uh, no, not so much. Only in the sense that it's connected and you'll be hitting the same turns again at some point. Hell you could say the same thing about Nurburgring, but it's NOT EVEN CLOSE to the same as NASCAR.
On curvy backroads:
I found some really good ones...in Southern Illinois. It's a bit of a drive but it's SO worth it, haha. Kind of a funny story...this wasn't a curvy road though, actually it's straight with some small hills. Anyway, I got up to 120, and as a slowed down for the curve at the end, there is a sign that says Cemetary Entrance HAHAHAHA. I thought that was great!
I'm interested in testing those roads Josh mentioned too.
On Memorial Day:
Thanks Josh, it's great to feel appreciated. And I also want to thank my fellow service members, great job guys! Victor, it's time to come back already, I'd say you're still bored as **** over there but I haven't heard from you in a while so I'm not sure, haha. I hope you're alright.
Misc:
Dream Theater, glad everything worked out for you. I'll bet it's great! HAHA Wish I could have helped you out bro.

On the cookout thingy. I can do any Saturday, as long as it starts after I get off of work except for the weekend of the 16th & 17th - VIR. Then again I just had a thought, we could do it on a Sunday also if needed I guess.

On another note, I went to drop my plate off at the DMV and they gave it back to me and told me I can come back on the 15th of June to renew my tags! Not too bad, I thought I was gonna be without them for atleast a month. So, when I go back to renew I'll be changing my custom plate...I think everyone will like it!

Hokay, so Rich is sending me an ECU and I'm gonna try that when I get back. A friend here at home brought up the fuel pump though...what if it's not pumping ENOUGH? I know it's working though. And I found some info in the FSM too. I almost can't wait to get back to start working on it again, haha.

Josh, that's a cool looking car. Looks european or something. Wonder what it's specs are and how it drives. Any idea what they're asking for it?

Ok, I think we should have the grillout replace the meet (June 9th). All in favor say aye. All NOT in favor say ney.
Aye!
Also, it's funny that Josh tipped his e-hat to the service members; I was going to do the same thing, but my PocketPC had connectivity problems. (I was at a friend's place.) I'd like to take this time to say thank you to our service members. Coming from a military family, I can understand some of the strain you guys face, not to mention the life-risking that takes place. Thank you so very much for serving. You people define the terms "man" and "woman."
Gary, you = geek...wait...****...I think that pretty much goes for almost all of us here. I'm for RX2CUBED.
Aye!

Then we can have our meet at Sonic that Saturday night also.
Guilty as charged!

**FS:94 White on Black Touring, 5spd, Glass Sunroof, New motor with warranty,New Clutch, Exhaust, Intake, PFC tuned for 12psi, $14900**
Hey guys, it's late at night and I'm bored. So let's play a round of... what new car should I get?
Used RX-8: 2004's can be had for cheap, still under warranty
Mazda(speed?)3: If you've gotta have a 4 door econobox, might as well get a good one.
Series 5 T2: My dream car. Will never find one.
Series 4 T2: Probably won't find one for sale that isn't a POS, but I can fix it
FD: Ha! Just kidding.
None of the above: Super/Turbocharge the Miata, paint the damn SE

Hey guys...
Greg and Eric (and whoever else who is interested in getting an(other) FC)... Ray is selling his white 88 GTU. For those of you who have seen it, it is in gorgeous condition. He is looking to sell it this summer if you are looking for a good FC that has not been abused. He would like $3500 for her, but he is willing to work with the price. I just spoke on the phone with him earlier this afternoon, and he is out of town for a couple of weeks, so he won't be available immediately. He really wants this car to go to a good home... so he is trying to keep it in our "Rotary family". Please PM me if you are interested in this car.
Thanks!!
