Greg, I'm so whipped by this thing. I'm just exhausted...physically, mentally, in every way. I don't think I have any vacuum leaks but you never know. I even fixed a couple problems I found and STILL nothing. It sounds different now though, like maybe if I can get it running it will run correctly now. It's not as choppy, even just listening to it turn over, it's much more smooth. There was once or twice where it sounded like it wanted to start, but I got nothing. I put some Sta-bil in the tank, the fuel has been in there about two months now. I'm going to bed, I have another board tomorrow. Yippee.

Oh, you guys posted too. Well I MIGHT still be in town Saturday, but I'm leaving by Sunday morning for sure. Two weeks at home. Yay. I'll reply to you guys tomorrow morning at work, haha. I'm too tired right now. Good night all.

Eric: Its time for professional help. We are all shadetree mechanics trying ot diagnose a problem from the otherside of a computer screen. you need to either get on the horn with someone who knows these engines (Banzai racing, Pineapple etc) or you need to get it to a, gulp, mazda dealership who understands rotaries. I fyou go that route I would HIGHLY suggest you call Mazda NA and see fi they have any dealerships that specialize in rotaries. i wouldn't trust any old grease monkey with the car.
At this point you have spent some small change trying to get it running. its time to get into the CC and have a professional look at the bastard. At least talk to a professional rotary shop first before going any further.

Cary, crossroads. 2003 Walnut street, right next door to Bob Evans(in the same building) at the Crossroads/Walnut exit off 64. I don't work till Thursday, but if you call me I'll give one of the other guys a call to make sure they have the phone in and I'll have them set you up if you can't wait till Thursday...if you CAN wait till Thursday, just lemme know. We get our shipments in on Thurs, so if you come in after 4pm I can set one aside. We almost always get theose phones in on the shipment.
I dont have off of work until friday anyway. Ill try to stop by then.
How does that music hunter program work btw? Seems like it wouldnt be very good at what it does without a very clean recording. Interesting technology though.

Well last night, even with it just cranking, it sounded a lot smoother than before, it wasn't as choppy, so I'm thinking the first problem might be gone (possibly that broken wire going to the ignition coil). Last night, I also discovered one of the bolts holding the fuel rail down was loose. I also pulled the injectors out, and when they popped loose they dumped fuel, so I'm assuming I didn't have one pinched and letting fuel leak by like Ashraf said might be happening. I still have that damn buzzing noise (more like a looooong beep) that sounds like the low coolant sensor, but the coolant level is fine and the wire is still connected. Tonight, I'm going to pull the fuel pump and hook it up to the battery to make sure it's still working (last time I could hear it but it was so quiet maybe I was just WANTING to hear it), and I'm going to clear the codes from the ECU and probably perform the deflooding procedures again since we sprayed some starting fluid in there last night. It just seems like it's gonna be a simple fix that I'm overlooking and I'm not taking it to a shop for that. There should be no reason I can't fix this myself. I've gotten help from quite a few knowledgeable people as well.
EDIT: Thanks for the kitties Greg.
And David, I sure hope Christina was signed in under your name in post #10830

Keep your chin up Greg, all you gotta do is offer him some candy, it worked for Josh and the little girl.
I can't see the offensive SRT4 pic, you gotta at least let me get home first.

I'm going PM only from here on out, I wanna keep it at 2000....DAMN!!!
Yeah I doubt that Josh, I wish she knew just how much love, blood, sweat and tears I've put into her, not to mention how much work I've put into troubleshooting this thing and all the help everyone has given me. The bitch (I hope she doesn't read this!)
David, that might be an even better idea. Hmmm, you said you're coming down this weekend Josh? LOL
