Well one of my coworkers is supposed to help me with the car tonight. He wants to learn about working on cars, so I'm gonna start him off right...on ROTARIES, haha.

I might be going to Charlotte with another guy from work to get his car, but I'm not sure about that yet. I told him you guys were probably coming down. You're more than welcome to stop by if I'm home though. I'll give you a call later bro.

Greg, I can't see the first pic but I love the cat pic, haha.

yeah they were in front of the FC line on the way there. 8s left first, then 3rd, then 2nd, then 1st, then rx-whatever and finaly... i dunno... miatas? heh!

i think the unofficial count was 18 eights, around 27 each of 3rd and 2nd, and maybe 20 1st gens. plus 2 rx-2s and a repu. were prolly more since people patked in the lower lot didn't get counted.

Oh Greg, that first pic you posted, Carl sent that to me a while back. HAHA, I SO agree. I like that pic with all the FCs too, that or something like it should be used in advertisements for Mazda. Something like this perhaps...

...then maybe have a tow truck standing by. Eh, maybe I'm just a little bitter right now.

Phil (herblenny) is trying to get a hi-rez version so they can put it in the article they're doing about us a Deals Gap in MazdaSport (I think that's the name) Magazine. Doing a 4 pager on the event.

Eric, I know what you're coming from. It's been about 7 or 8 years ago when I had T2 rebuilt and I've only put about 13k on the car since then. Most of that in the last 2 1/2 years and they've all been hard miles just about. When I had it built I told them I wanted it bullet proof, durability over high horsepower or anything else. I never thought I would push it as hard as I have at times though, especially at Deals Gap this year but I'm glad I paid for it back then. It took them 2 1/2 months at least to do the work but it was well worth the wait. But I still keep waiting for something to pop with the way I've been treating her lately! I'd be like you though if mine went south and I wasn't able to drive it for a while again. I keep thinking I should park her for a bit and just go over every little thing again to be safe. I guess it's just the nature of the beast, older car pushed like we do... sometimes something has to give. Then it's one damn thing after another! That's why I've been tossing ideas on what to do with the Vert. It's got 132k on it and I have not been gentle with her!! Being an NA she might take another 100K with me abusing her, then again.... I might have to come up with a plan! Damn I've rambled for who knows how long and said nuttin! Hang in there man, she'll come back to ya hah!

Yeah I was actually joking for the most part, haha. I mean, I am bitter cause I just want to drive her again. I'm so tempted to just pull the engine for a rebuild, that way I know for sure what the deal is under the hood...how many miles the engine has and what exactly is done with it, etc. Greg, that's pretty good mileage, considering mine has over 147K haha. Thanks for the words of encouragement though brother. I still don't ever see myself getting rid of her, even with all the problems we all encounter with our cars, because when she's running, I'm the happiest guy on Earth.

That was one of the first things I noticed and changed . 50 ppp FTW! I don't like the new icons though... they don't look good with the dark background (I hate the white border around them). Oh well, back to the light theme (although the dark is better) .

I've had mine set to 40 per page for a while now, and I could swear they had 50 option back then too. I remember they had something more than 40 because I was wondering why people didn't just switch to that instead of just 40.

Hey Josh, I'm really getting close to pulling this damn engine. It's pretty obvious I'm not gonna have it fixed by the time I go home on leave, so I might start saving my money for a rebuild or just check on that small loan.

I think Rob mentioned it in the SuperPro GB actually, haha, cause that's why I changed mine. I figured you would have had your shock mounts already, mine came in just a couple days it seemed.

^It was up for just a little bit on Saturday, that's how I was able to reply to what you had said...ya know, the same thing I posted on your comments on Myspace, haha.

I swapped out my plug wires yesterday with the ones I got from Jason, taped up an exposed wire, and the car didn't start, haha. So tonight I swapped the igniter to see if that would do anything, took the fuse out to clear out excess fuel or whatever, and it didn't start again, haha. I DID discover my remote start switch is bad though, haha. Anyway, I gotta get to bed now. Take it easy guys and gals.

damn dude. could it be the ignition coils? or your crank angle sensors? could *** up the timing, and make it nearly impossible to start the car. i think i have a pair of working ones (not talking about my *****, though they seem to be functioning as well, hahaha). IT ISNT THE ENGINE, I WONT BELIEVE IT!!!!

I checked the ignition coils per FSM, they're good. Crank angle sensor maybe, I'm still curious about timing myself, and we have the tool at work to check it, I'm just not sure how to do it. FSM FTW!!! I just wish I could drive the car to someone that's dealt with this before, so they could look at it in person and be able to see what I'm talking about.

i don't think you can check the timing the same way as with a piston engine, so i am not sure, what the procedure is. i always looked at my PFC commander.

easiest way might be to just swap the crank sensors, with good ones.

Do the crank angle sensors go bad on a regular basis? You said you have a good one? Or were you talking about ignitor coils? I'll look in the FSM for the procedure on checking timing. I really want to get this thing running real soon, plane tickets are $300 and up.

Did you guys hear about Ft Dix almost getting attacked by the 6 terrorists? Liz is up there right now, she called and told me about it. I just read the story, they were buying AK-47s from a guy working with the FBI or something. Crazy times.
