I thought maybe I was dehydrated (it had happened once before and I took 2 bags of IV) so I started drinking water and eating crackers earlier, but only a very small amount. Well, let's just say I can actually taste Ritz in my nose right now, haha. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be up for working on the car again cause I might be able to get it on there barring any complications.
Oh yeah, Josh, please thank your parents for me for the meal last night, it was great! Are you feeling under the weather from S&S today? Maybe it was that shake, didn't taste quite right when I was drinking it, but hey, it's a shake!

Phil, let me know when you want to work on the FC. You could use our driveway if you would like. We wouldn't be in the way of anyone at my house, so it shouldn't be an issue.
When David and I get a house, we MUST have a big garage and spaceous driveway!! I don't care if the house itself needs some work, the garage and driveway must be immaculate.

^That is awesome Phil...I'm looking out the upstairs window looking at all the rain water...I'm actually gonna go for a drive here in a little bit. I haven't really played with the new tires in the water yet! Maybe I can get some dorifto action or they may just surprise me and I'll get great traction!!!

Failing to do either of those, the clips or the bedding, could cause a rattle. Did you use anti-squeel? that could possible be the start of a squeel, but because the pads are new they are just catching at the moment instead of vibrating (squeeling)

thanks for the driveway stina/dave. Sorry to hear the strut didnt work out. Figured it was going to be a replacement in the end, but it was worth the try.
Greg: I DEFINTELY want to do an HPDE at least once this summer/fall. After reading about what it is I decided that HPDE is exactly what I have been looking for.

+1 to sprite or 7up. No caffine, high in sugar. That or gatorade to replace the sugars and salts you tossed up last night, and to rehydrate you.

You know, that autocross vid that Nic posted seemed pretty tame compared to the MSCCNC course that we went to a little while back.
I can't wait to get my car back on the track, although I'll have to de-modify my intake so I can stay in stock class.

^I hear ya, Joey! I'm trying to get of stock class, with my new exhaust and intake on the way plus the PCM reflash and new suspension...looks like I'll be moving up to STU according to SCCA rules.

After tossing the old pads I realized that I forgot to get the 'inside' shim (the second of two shims on the front inside pads) off of the old pad on the front right and put it on the new pad. Could that be causing my problem? After inspecting the rears and finding that one of the rear rotors is missing it's retaining screw (don't know where that went since I've never had the pads or rotors changed before and I didn't mess with the rotors yesterday), I took a drive around the neighborhood to check everything out again and I realized that the rattle is coming from the front, not the rear, and only happens when I turn to the left (turning right causes no rattle at all).

I had to essentailly ruin a caliper yesterday when one of the retaining bolts wouldnt go in. I eventually was forced to crossthread the bolt into the caliper. It works fine and I checked it again today to make sure it wasnt backing out. Since the bolt is only designed to keep the caliper from moving towards the rear of the car, and not a stressed member laterally, I think I will be ok with it like that. In any case Im looking at needing a new caliper when I have to replace my rotors again in the future. Until that point I think Im ok. Ill just have to keep an eye on that bolt. I dont htink its going anywhere though.

Tossing an idea around with Greg: since a good number of us will be there by Friday morning, how about we do a Skyway drive on Friday early afternoon.
Maybe do an up and down dragon run, followed by a reverese Skyway to make it to the DGRR 4:00 Tennessee side meeting.

I've been checking 3 weather sites for the last week. Looks good for next week on all of them.

Im down for the skyway drive. Sounds like fun. few early morning drives then the skyway sounds like a good time.
Thunder: Imw ith you on the brakes tomorrow. Have to do my rears. Wanted to do them today, but obviously didnt have the oppurtunity. Also need to learn how to bleed brakes since I didnt do that.

The skid pad a VIR was The most fun I have had in my RX7 period. I can't wait to do it again I got where I could go around the whole circle in a Drift or oversteer as we say in the business.
I have to thank Gary for running me to the tire shop. I picked up a nail on the way to VIR.

It may have been spike strip from the POPO. J/K . Maybe a cheap tent stake, anyway The guy at the tire shop in milton let me use the patch kit for free, ( I payed him anyway)
